Caz wakes up almost 11 years after he supposedly died when he blew up the rig to find himself mutated! But still in control? He later finds the rest of the crew, all of whom are ghosts now, and eventually, Mhairi arrives with Rob and Caz saves her arse, then they bring Caz and some of the ghosts to the surface, Mhairi is a medium and can see the ghosts, and the ghosts are all trapped by the Baira D ruins due to being bound to The Shape, only able to follow Caz out since he is mutated by The Shape.

The Silky Sea AU
Focused on my OC Caspian, secretly a selkie, and Raffs, a trainee offshore diver, a slowburn love story, because I have the uncontrollable urge to make an OC for each character.

Dunamis "Dune" Silver McCroft aka Siren!!
Was a fandom OC before the thing he was based on became horrible, and I loved the design and stories for him too much, so I turned him into an OC! He's basically a secondary persona at this point. When you see him in his yellow sweater, the fandom he's from is obvious if you know it... please don't talk about the drama with me.
Hes a supervillain! But he's the main suppoting character of the protagonist in the story, he's a good man from a good family who secretly owns the most infamous anarchist criminal group in the world, bot because they're bad people, but because they want to fix things, Siren is actively repulsed by the idea of killing anyone, and the few times he accidentally has during fights with heroes, he ends up locked away in his own room for months self-loathing over his actions, also, he has the power to control minds with his voice! And he is cursed to never sleep properly, when he sleeps a ghost will emerge from his body and take half the energy he gains from sleeping, typically leaving him exhausted in the morning.
Might make a seperate post yapping on this guy since he's from an Original Story of mine...
Ozymandias!!
Bird boi, in a polyamorous relationship with two men, one an angel the other an enderman, they love each other more than anything. Ozymandias was inspired by the poem by the same name, he died and was resurrected by the Goddess of Death, his mother, as her prophet and he now dedicates himself to making sure young lives do not go to waste, and trying to save and care for as many young humans under the age 40 as he can.

My main Dead Plate OC, he is there to save both the main chatacters arses unknowingly by having them both fall in love with him, he eventually gets with them too, they even have a three-way ship child! dont ask how... Gabriel grew up in a incredibly wealthy family, but was raised to respect and care for everyone, he is a gentle soul who puts others over himself, and is almost always smiling, he is calm and collected, and quite quiet, but he is very sweet, friendly, and helpful. He loves his job as a waiter at high end establishments and has grown up his whole life mostly doing waiting jobs, he works at his boyfriend Vincent's restaurant next to his fellow waiter, and also boyfriend, Rody.

One of my 2 favourite SWTD OCs of mine, I live his colours and just him in general. He's the only doctor on the rig and is quite jumpy and nervous easily in social situations, but despite that, he is actually really good at his job, and priotizes others over himsefl the majority of the time.

I have two main one's I wanna post but idk if you guys would read OC-centric stuff, especially since most are ships(because I kove gays too much), like, one idea is a a Raffs POV story with a Selkie character he "saves" from a shipwreck near the rig, or my favourite OC, Lancer's, story in his POV, of him trying to save the rig from The Shape after experiencing the end of all life in the future and travelling back in time to save all lifeforms, giving Addair a Gay crisis in the process.

If Karl Heisenberg can manipulate electromagnetic fields... theoretically, he could manipulate the salts in water and therefore the water itself... it'd be funny if he could do it the whole time and just didn't realize it until he figured it out on accident at some point or something like that.

I struggled more than I should've to make this chapter, but now that this one is complete, the next one whould be much easier! And hopefully sooner and longer, for the sake of my own sanity...
Sorry for taking so long to update, genuinely had no idea what to write to transition the first chapter(my 1st idea) into the main story(my 2nd idea), but I refused to remove the ideas I had ;v;

this is also the first time I'm showing the aptly nicknamed "Benzos guy" on tumblr, he's the guy who Lyall was getting Benzos for in this comic and he is NOT in the facility...

Headcanons for the Beira-D's On-site chaplain: Reverend Father Pieter Stavoort!
- He and Roy frequently have very spiritual conversations, Roy ends up being genuinely curious about eastern orthodox theology and Piete is more than happy to have some civil, intellectually/spiritually stimulating dialogue with the man.
- This one is actually inspired by @acrobetia's If It Went The Other Way AU, in particular the third part: Addair may be unsavoury to put it lightly - his beliefs heinous but he's not heartless and after some prodding in which Piete had to endure some pretty harsh words and some offensive remarks about his heritage. Piete is probably the only other person that knows the other side of Addair, the one that is essentially the inner good struggling against the outer evil - the good being that Addair actually cares more about people he 'hates' and in the case of Gibbo it means seeing him as like a son. Piete has done his best to advise the man on how to best tend to his demons especially the ones pertaining to his beliefs but it's a slippery slope for Addair considering how afraid the man is of being soft/accepting the ideas that don't align with the ones he was raised on.
- The momento that Mhiari can find in relation to him is a framed photo of him at his seminary graduation/ordination.
- Piete and Brendana are a couple! In terms of the dynamic she was the one to initiate it because as much of a yapper Piete is, he can be a bit introverted sometimes.
- It wasn't until the 80s when Oil Rig chaplains became an official role but Pieter's uncle worked at Cadal's HQ as an executive, Pieter was recommended to be the Beira's 'official' chaplain in spite of being denominationally different than the rest of the crew.

Helloooo! I've seen you do this before and I was wondering how Xanthe would restore my boy Alastair Williams?
He's pretty messed up lol. Like some of the other infected the shape mutated him so much he became unrecognizable. He used to be 6' 1" and the shape made him grow to be 9' 3". Yes that is his ribcage and eternal organs exposed on his torso. He was infected by one of the other infected workers (I'm still deciding on who to pick for that. Either Trots or Addair maybe.) They managed to corner him and slice open his torso. ((Also yes he was in a romantic relationship with Rennick in my AU and was the one who infected Rennick. Only Roper knew abt their relationship (it was an accidental discovery). You don't need to include that if you don't want you))

AUGH I love ur artstyle and I'm sorry I've let this sit for so long , it's getting harder to come up with ways to fix all these guys and I tbh wasn't sure how I'd fix Will cus DAMN . His torso...

I'm retiring. How is he alive??? What. What do I do about that torso?
And here he is in all his restored glory , he's kinda a cyborg with the prosthetic torso he's been given and his organs are all like hooked up to small machines inside of it to keep him alive (I didn't draw them cus idk how I'd go about that atm)
The torse had got metal plating on his chest and back with hook latches to open and close easily if smth goes wrong. And the rest of the torso is made up of those leathery- tube things that usually hold water(?) But it's pretty look so he can move around easier
Unsure if he's got eyes under there, so I bandaged his face . He's got a tail now cus I couldn't see how to get legs out of that , woe prosthetics upon ye.
Annddd uhh yeap that's all I got to say , the rest is kinda obvious.
Oh, but he should totally try to pry Rennick out his room and be his friend. that dude is lonely.
AHHHH MY BOYYY <3 The design is so good! And yes he kind of has eyes under there, the stalk-thingies on his face just grew out from the eyelids, so like out of the eye sockets around the eyes.

For anyone of the infected: Is The Shape called The Shape here? How was it named? Was it mutually decided on by the infected or did Xanthe name it? Or even named by/with anyone who worked alongside Xanthe and the infected?

One more, what are the infected and survivor opinion(s) on The Sea and/or Oil Rigs after what happened? Is it like, a mutual hate they all hold towards those things? Do they hold more hate towards or blame the Sea or Cadal(if they're even around still, I forgot) for it? Id specifically like to know Brodie and Raffs feel on it since they were the divers after all, would Brodie ever consider diving again since he seemed to be so passionate and proud of his career up until then?
Im guessing Raffs probably has a horrible and possibly debilitating fear of diving again, specifically in a diving bell, I dont know if he even could swim how he is...

(Rafferty tries to avoid baths and showers and just water in general. He's the worst to deal with... when it comes to trying to help them get over their fears of water and the ocean... He also just doesn't like the feeling of anything near his other eyes, so like getting them covered or submerged in water will freak him out )
What's the rough time frame from the time they were released from ops and started recovery to about the time Xanthe went down like a wet noodle Was attacked by Ainsley?

It's not very long after Christmas cuz they're still looking for survivors. They were immediately taken into the facilities care, at most a few weeks or a month??? was when Xanthe got attacked ๐ค it happened all so fast yknow... but perhaps some survivors had food and water where they were hiding
