He let out a small “oh” as Cataire came into view. Up until that point he’d been humming silently, using it as a way to calm himself down while trying to see if he could fix the wiring in the gaping hole on his chest. When he saw her, through, he went quiet for a moment, before ultimately deciding that it was best to greet her. “Hello, dear! Who are you?” he chirped in a friendly tone, putting on his best smile for her. She seemed nice, if not a little nervous, so it was best to be welcoming.

“W-what th-?! W-who are you?!” she exclaimed, “A-are you the one who’s been living down h-here…?” She backed away slowly from him, tripping over a piece of trash, falling backwards and dropping her bag beside the damaged robot. Why me…? Why am I such a scaredy-cat…? She glanced up at Mettaton and took a deep breath in an endeavor to regain her composure.

“I’m so sorry if I scared you, dear! That wasn’t my intention!”

“Just... Who are you? A-and...how did you end up down here?” she asked, looking him up and down, “Wait...you’re a robot... Did someone...throw you away...?” Ouch... That’d have to suck if that were the case... M-maybe he’s not so scary after all... He’s...not trying to hurt me... Poor guy...

Or at least willing to interact with one, or if you’re willing to interact with a sideblog.
