How to Take Close-Up Screenshots of Your Town!
I’ve been seeing a lot of close-up screenshots lately, and I finally learned how to do it–but I’ve never seen a definitive guide so here we go!
So, first things first, you’ll need to learn how to do the net glitch. you can use it for a whole bunch of crazy glitch stuff in the game, including getting underneath the map, which is how you’ll get your close-ups!
Also, save and continue before starting the glitch because I don’t think it’s possible to get back above your town afterwards.
Next step, use your net to get onto the train tracks by walking through the fence- the edge seems to be the best place to do it.
Then, run down to the bridge and walk with the net again. It can be a little tricky to do this one because the tracks cover your legs, making it harder to tell if you’re moving forward, so just keep trying and you’ll get it right. Keep walking all the way to the other side and you’ll be walking on the ocean.
Next up, walk to the edge of the ocean and do the net glitch for the last time.
Hooray! We made it! Do some running around in this little void area. It might look like you’re walking around in nothing, but if you hold down A and do your slow walk with the net, you’ll notice you’re actually under the map. Head in the direction of your town.
Just continue sneaking around for as long as you want and take pictures because it’s amazing. Be careful when running or swinging your net, though, because you can actually run over and destroy flowers from below your town. You can also still see footprints in the sand on the beach and make splashes in the water with your net.
weird. Anyway, after all of this, you’re pretty much stuck to roam around underneath your town forever. (Unless there’s a way to pop back up and I don’t know it.)
Enjoy the glitch views! Saving and quitting is probably fine to get back to normal but I just reset and everything was fine– either way, save before going on your close-up adventure.
