i’ve asked multiple times for more staff awareness and even memos that someone in the course has tics/tourette’s and i’m still having to explain to new lecturers that i have it

it’s somehow worse when it happens in your 20s

learning about Symptoms before you realise you have The Thing is so weird because i found out that people with adhd have trouble sitting still and i was like “pah i’m fine with sitting in my seat”

and then as soon as i can’t stop fidgeting i’m like “Oh No,,, surely i am faking having adhd rn. not to worry i will just sit still now to prove that i actually don’t have it and i’m actually being insensitive”

and let me tell you

it has never worked

i think we all need to start saying “omg i hate that” but positively

what i mean by this is that we should all care less about what other people think of us and all do what we want

we should all have our own opinions of things and accept others and freely express when we don’t like things while still being nice about it because then we’ll all better take criticism and readily listen to other people

this is to say we shouldn’t all jump on a bandwagon when we see someone else hating on something (eg british food, france, anime) as i often see on tiktok and real life all too often

#like i know when my friends have been on tiktok too much #because they’ll hate on france #or british food #as soon as you contest even Slightly #you get to watch the cognitive function kick in #as they realise they’re opinions are just What The Internet Told Them #and it’s a fair process to go through #hell #i’ve been there #ANYWAYS #i think we all need to ask ‘why?’ a whole lot more
