Katsuki's dream has always been becoming the best hero and reaching the top. He only was down due to yelling at obnoxious reporters to stay back from dangerous sites. So deku's good influence is "being nice to obnoxious reporters?" If Katsuki wanted number one so badly, he'd care about his image and would make it better himself. He's a grown ass man and all friends around him are also good with media, they could have also been a good influence all these years. Implying he needed to wait 8 years so someone else who isn't even interested in hero work teaches sth to him is very insulting to his character and doesn't fit his arc.

This is just another annoying case of hori putting Katsuki down to uplift Izuku and also never letting Katsuki to have anything good in time skip unless it involves deku.

I like the ship too but both characters got really bad writing for their endings. First Izuku, and after that hori was heavily criticized for it, but instead of fixing it, he decided to drag Katsuki down with izk.

But at the same if I want sth to cope: a reporter who doesn't know them is saying shit like that. Soooo

The thing about Todobaku is that they're one of the few pairings where both characters can be completely themselves. Shoto doesn't get overwhelmed by Bakugo's intensity, and Bakugo never treats Shoto like he's fragile.

Bakugo always treats Shoto as someone worth challenging. Their growth together is just chef's kiss.

It’s not just a rivalry; they actually respect each other as equals, and_I feel like in a relationship, they’d just balance each other out perfectly. It’s honestly the most honest dynamic in the series.

Todobaku feels so balanced because neither of them revolves around the other. They both have their own goals, their own identities, and their own confidence. When they're together, it feels like a partnership between two strong individuals rather than person constantly chasing the other's approval.

Because I've seen so many ppl saying how much cuter or prettier he looks. Those ugly long necks they used to give him sometimes or over-exaggerated angry faces in scenes that didn't have much anger, still make me shiver😭 (ofc he made ugly faces in manga as well but some of them were way worse in anime and sometimes they added extra ugliness when the scene in the manga wasn't like that at all)

mitsuki is obviously heavily criticized but i think people overlook how much of katsuki's love for winning and not appearing to be weak comes from her. like she doesn't settle for less and is horrifyingly harsh about her son, but there's an openness about her that is highlighted by katsuki. her simple 'look you are better than everyone so don't you dare want to be less. you can't be weak because you're strong and the only way to keep on going is by winning so you need to win.' very less like a parent and more like a coach honestly.

They officially end it on what seemed like an unimportant day when they're both 19. Katsuki tells Shoto he doesn't want to be a secret anymore, to which Shoto tells him being out isn't an option. They painfully go their separate ways.

Katsuki comes out a year later during an interview, he never explicitly stated it, more so made a comment regarding how his attraction to people doesn't change the fact that he is a damn good hero. Most people take it pretty well. Shoto does not. It was that easy, yet he lost him because of it.

Shoto tries not to interact with Katsuki if he can help it. He avoids social media so he doesn't have to see him, and he moved cities to try and avoid teaming up with him. Hell, he moved his hero agency to avoid the man. This worked for a while, until it didn't.

Just have to keep drawing until u realize u r actually not that bad
