let’s start this off with who i am. i’m lucy. i’m female. i’m mixed race. pakistani, native, white. i’m a poc. i’m a sunni muslim. i’m a lesbian. no first, and foremost. i’m a lot. nice to meet you. how are ya. 

i’m close, with blair @demolitiongirl, queenie @neonnoise and i’m close with claudia @abyssalgoddess / @blackamydunne. those are the people, that involve me, with what happened. here on tumblr. in our indie roleplaying community. on Tuesday May 2nd, 2017. that some of you, a lot of you, have since, either ignored. moved on from. or have no idea about happening maybe, even. let’s talk about it.

To: White People. when poc. have something to say, let them. don’t interrupt. don’t give your white explanation of the situation. sit down. listen. shut up. if you feel attacked? still, wait. your anxiety is triggered? take a minute. do not. by any means, silence us. do not. by any means, censor us. do not. by any means, stop us. if you would like us, to communicate, your way. tough luck. sucks to suck. i said it before, i’m saying it again. shut up. 

To: @demolitiongirl blair. i’ve known you for years. and i didn’t know you were white. i’ve seen your selfies. and i still didn’t know you were white. yeah. and the reason, i didn’t know. is because you have, separated yourself from your whiteness. it isn’t a crime to be white. so do me a favor, and own up to it. especially since you are writing a poc. you are trying, to represent another community. i thought you were doing okay, at it too. but i am not latinx. so i can’t be the authority on that. this is what we call a sticky racial situation. because you don’t seem racist. in fact, you present as an ally. but white people do not get to decide what makes an ally. and if poc tell you, you did wrong. you did. 

you’ve apologized. for me, your apology wasn’t much. but you did. you gotta understand. i don’t think your apology, at no point, read: i was racist. and i am sorry. that’s why, for me your apology fell short. why you saying, you will do better, you will learn from this, sounds empty. try harder. do better. 

To: @neonnoise queenie. i talked to you yesterday. i had to explain to you, step by step. why your response, the way you got involved, was racist. how you were racist. i told you, how your involvement, was unnecessary. 

you’ve apologized too. for me, your apology wasn’t enough either. you did it. but understand also. your apology did not say, again, at no point: i was racist. and i am sorry. i do not represent every poc. i can’t speak for us all. i can speak for me. for me, neither of you apologized properly. i don’t know what white people are taught as children, but if you do not address what you did wrong, it is not a proper apology. and anything you promise, is not genuine till then. 

To: White People. i know of two of the poc, that spoke up on Tuesday. claudia, whose links are above. and yah yah @nightinghoul. those of you who responded to them, at least the responses i read. were racist. maybe you read queenie’s response to claudia. maybe you agreed with it and thought, she’s right. they’re communicating wrong. listen up. you don’t get to tell poc how to communicate. you don’t get to tell us how to express our anger. you don’t get to demonize our girls, for being loud or mean. what you did was a classic, racist white, maneuver. to silence poc. to demonize, black women. to make them seem irrational. as if what they say next, is irrelevant. as if they are not as intelligent.. it goes along the lines of this. ‘if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all’ you responded to them like that. you made them out to be, Just Angry Black Women. because you didn’t like the way they communicated their outrage. get over yourself. thinking your way, the white way, is the right way. is racist. and a lot of you deleted your responses. afraid to be called that, probably. afraid to be  involved. maybe afraid after you felt threatened. welcome to our lives. 

I mean quite honestly it isn’t even any of my business but you’re the one who’s desperately trying to drag as many people as you can into this. 

I don’t know you, and I don’t care to. for that matter, you don’t know me. whatever beef you have with blair, queenie, kayla, morgan, and whoever else disagrees with you isn’t any of my concern. this whole shitshow is nothing to do with me, and it’s blatantly obvious that you’re just trying to indulge a personal vendetta. as far as you’re concerned, anyone who’s friends with blair is fair game and the only reason you’re trying to get me involved is because you’re still trying to fan the flames and turn a non-issue into a point of contention.

the person who made that post I just reblogged is just throwing around accusations of racism as an excuse to launch ad hominem attacks on people and now apparently I’m the latest target because…I made a fucking joke about my dashboard looking like a fucking warzone?? which wasn’t targeted at anyone and wasn’t the least bit offensive??
