ABSIT OMEN

hello! expected to be completed by sep 15, we are recruiting roles for a brand new, 21+ hellaverse roleplay server taking place during season one of hazbin hotel. the pilot is canon, but canon divergence is allowed for different events. the meeting with charlie and adam can go differently, we don’t mind new twists or turns of events. adam is in heaven, the hazbin hotel crew is just debuting and getting themselves out there, and the i.m.p. has obtained a grimoire via a certain goetia prince.

did characters that didn’t make appearances this early on have a chance to shine? absolutely! have you been looking for an adult safe space to play out and develop stories and relations early on? this place might be for you! while the server is still in the works, the rules are mainly established, and we have few canons currently on hold so now is your chance to pre-hold characters until the server is ready for take off! we want to give a few run downs beforehand:

the verification system will require the usage of id to become verified with only the dob visible. if you have another form to prove your age, we can try to work with you. we want to ensure you are at least 21 or older for the comfort of our server.

the server ranges from semi-literate to literate+, we will also ask for a writing sample of at least two paragraphs to ensure you’re a good fit for our server. we expect at least two-three paragraphs to be easily maintained throughout the roleplay as shortform threads won’t count toward activity, and we are looking for strong, passionate writers to join!

the current characters on hold are as follows: adam, st peter, molly, satan, yogirt, and emily. you may only pre-reserve up to two canon characters that are not in close relations. the general activity for characters are as follows:

gold star/key characters: 4 threads per month and 6 active dms

major characters: 4 threads per month and 5 active dms

minor characters: 3 threads per month and 4 active dms

oc minors: 3 threads per month and 3 active dms

these characters are yet to be entirely sorted, but our key characters are. hiatuses, emergencies, and other factors will be considered for activity requirements and will be outlined in the rules, so don’t worry too much if you can’t hit this activity. remember this is a group server, so you are expected to roleplay with the group, no bubbling with ships or specific people. we want everyone to feel included and want characters to branch out from their canon interactions too!

we would really love to have some festive lively events and a future extermination, so we’d really love for more characters to fill in! if you’re a strong writer, love to interact with multiple characters, we’d love to have you!

BACKSTORY:

(Use the provided space to give at least a minimum of two-three paragraphs of your character's backstory.

If they are a Sinner or Winner, tell us how they died and about their human life and why they are in Hell or Heaven. The reasoning must be logical. Think about their intentions.

If they are Hell/Heavenborn, tell us about their origins and how they got to where they are now.

If they are a Sin, as per the lore they originated as the Virtues before being replaced so they were originally Heavenborn beings before they fell. Tell us about their time in Heaven and why they fell.

Make sure you have spoken to players needed for close connections and that you provide as many necessary characters as needed. If they are not present during your submission you may speak to them once we have a player for the character to be sure everyone is on the same page with your character’s history and connections.

Example: Adam would need to talk about Lute, Vaggie, Lucifer, Lilith, Eve, Cain, and Abel, even if briefly.)

Affliction Description: What did they do in life to cause their current suffering in Hell and what are those things? Then list what would undo it/make them worthy of redemption. Your character does not have to be redeemable or end up redeemed, just tell us what would undo their life as a Sinner. If your character is not a Sinner, you can just put N/A.)

(Example: If Baxter killed someone out of jealousy and sought revenge by murder with intentions to use their body for an experiment before being caught and escaped but drowned to death, he would need to commit an act of selflessness and have an intention of protecting and saving someone to be worthy of redemption. His own appearance also feels like a humiliation of its own due to his stature, need for glasses (in this example he hates them), and fear of large bodies of water due to his death as a human. It could also hint toward him needing to face his own fears when he originally swam away to try to save himself but would instead save someone else which is a pure intention. )
