A Breath of a Me.

The thing about distractions is that they are temporary. As are most things are in life, temporary. Fleeting.

A feeling you had forgotten,

Or the same dreading feeling, every day,

Did you have a hard time letting me go?

If you did I hope it was quickly.

I had a hard time too,

sorry it didn’t show.

I know I hurt you when I told you things...

Because I wanted them to be true.

I believed that they were but

ultimately it wasn’t enough,

That crazy thing called love.

You were a last for me.

A phase completed immortally

I’m sorry I denied you,

The words you wanted desperately.

I didn’t want to give you false hope,

because now you see

Here I go again

Falling apart over

Matters of the heart

And it seems

Fits into you, entertwined,

If you think about it, YOU LOVE YOURSELF so much that you set extremely high expectations for yourself because you KNOW you could do it, it’s the self doubt that holds you back.
