if i am missing something major here please let me know but i'm having trouble understanding why some of you are saying that taylor would be disappointed in how today's ticketing went. of course i don't think she's thinking "haha fuck those fans who didn't get tickets" but she's also not thinking "damn *insert x person here* who's been a fan since my first album won't be there :(". she has even openly expressed that she is welcoming to all fans regardless of when they became fans or even if they completely changed their perspective on her to become fans. she is going to be playing to sold out stadiums anyway. not to say that the way it went down wasn't immensely disappointing for many of the fans and i am disappointed for all you that missed out but from taylor's perspective? she will have her audience either way and that is all that she ultimately wants/needs at the end of the day

Can't imagine what it's like to consume media like a normal person. To discover something you enjoy, go oh i loved that, then just move on and not spend the next 6 months of your life literally thinking about nothing else.

I don't get how people can blame Taylor though. It's not her fault at all. Ticketmaster dropped the ball not her. She had no other option but to go through them to sell tickets. I get people are pissed, I'm pissed but direct it at ticketmaster not Tay.

i think its a nuanced issue and people are frustrated with different parts. i can understand the impulse of wanting taylor to say something about it, for example. but i think a lot goes into deals and partnerships and that some decisions that seem like no brainers often take more effort than it may appear. i dont fault people for feeling bummed or angry though, its a crummy situation!

if anything, i think sometimes we can get caught in a habit of setting up expectations for taylor that will never get fulfilled, and then getting angry over those expectations that she was never a part of in the first place, effectively multiplying the hurt. that part is something we can all control if we want to.

when did the Ticketmaster queue get so honest

This is probably going to be an incredibly controversial opinion but I see a lot of entitled Swifites getting mad because “casual” or “new” fans got tickets and they as a “fan of her’s from the beginning and know ALL her songs” didn’t. I feel for people who didn’t get tickets and are disappointed. It sucks, but she has 232 million followers just on IG. Getting tickets was going to be like winning the lottery. It’s unfortunate, but not everyone is going to be lucky.
