Web variety show “Photo People” is returning with a second season! On March 26, it was revealed that JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong and Jo Se Ho will be back for the new season. Sunggyu had his first performance of Amadeus today! I’m hoping that there’ll be translations of critic reviews at some point of his performance and the production in general. In the mean time, here’s a fan account by @sngqyu. In short, read about Sunggyu doing rated stuff :)

I can’t remember the details of the original play and/or film anymore, but it definitely had some racy/provocative scenes. The portrayal of Mozart by Shaffer is of him being puerile and obscene, so Sunggyu’s performance seems to be in keeping with that (complete with the high pitched laughter). 

I feel a little bit sorry for fans who are turning up expecting cute Gyuzart, to find him doing all sorts of… unexpected things (seems that many were shocked), hahah. The fan account was by someone who didn’t catch a lot of the Korean dialogue, but if it follows the play/film, then there would be quite a lot of scatological talk, which may make it doubly shocking to hear from Sunggyu. 

But I’m mostly envious. Hopefully we get to see more pics/cuts from the performance at some point. 

(The hair seems to have changed from platinum blond to purple today. But it seems possible that the purple could be a temporary dye.)

Dongwoo has been revealed as one of the contestants (”Knight of the Razor”) on King of Masked Singer! He won the first round, but then lost in the second round, and had to reveal his identity. I watched the second round, and I’m so proud that the score was fairly close (44 - 55) despite such tough competition. The panelists (especially the idol panelists) were pretty shocked when they found out who it was. 

Mina (from Gugudan) had guessed that he could have been Sunggyu, and I can kind of see why. I have actually found myself confusing Sunggyu and Dongwoo’s voices in 왜 날 (Why Me). Dongwoo’s voice has improved so much, and on INFINITE’s group tracks, I find Sunggyu’s and Dongwoo’s higher registers can sometimes sound similar. 

What was cute through all this was that you would TOTALLY KNOW it was Dongwoo if you are an Inspirit. His voice is very distinctive, of course, but he had his telltale restlessness on stage, and he almost ended up doing the scorpion move when imitating a seal on stage (lol). And of course he rapped and danced incredibly well (you really have to watch the segment after the second battle where he gets to show off his hip hop moves). 

By the way, everyone was suppose to refrain from commenting online with Dongwoo’s name when speculating who the contestant is because that could result in penalties. In the mean time though, Dongwoo’s mum was out there irl telling people that her son was going to be appearing on the show (hehe). 

Just so happy that people out there are discovering this gem. Dongwoo is an amazing all rounder, and just as I felt that Begin Again has been very much Dongwoo’s era, I really hope that Dongwoo gets more and more opportunities to shine vocally - hopefully on a solo album!

Hi babies, 

This request asked me to write several scenarios for Gyu/Myung/Woo using my current favorite non-Kpop songs. I recently wrote a songfic for Gyu with my ultimate #1 song nowadays lol so I’ll link it here for anyone who’s interested. This one is Myungsoo’s and as soon as I read the request, I thought about this song. To me, there’s something about this song that SCREAMS Myungsoo. I don’t know exactly what it is, but it’s just perfect. And evidently, I had too much fun writing this because it turned out longer than expected. Anyways, this song is one of my current favorites so I hope you enjoy this fic (and the song) as much as I do. Dongwoo’s songfic is on the way!
