Dreaming of places that don't exist

Turned 24 this summer and I can feel my brain marinating in the juices, I’ve started dreaming about laundry lmfao

Whenever I broach the subject with someone that I may be on the autism spectrum and if they could please be patient with me, they almost always hit me with some variation of: "Oh? I couldn't tell." Like, yes, that's the point. You can't tell because I hide everything about me that would potentially "give me away," so to speak. I don't remember much of my childhood, but I do remember that heart-crushing feeling of realization that other kids didn't want to be around me because I was strange. I remember that people would be annoyed with me when I behaved in a way that came naturally to me. I learned which situations I couldn't hide in and avoided them like my life depended on it. Unmasking is hard, because I am so afraid of being seen as that weird little kid all over again. But I'll keep working at it. I don't know. Just something I've been thinking about lately.
