He Heals the Wounds No One Sees

The psalm closes with a promise full of hope:

“The upright shall behold His face.” Let that be your motivation—to seek God every single day. Not out of obligation, but out of love. In prayer, in the Word, in worship—make room for Him. His presence is the greatest reward.

God is just. He sees what’s been done to you. He sees your pain, your quiet battles, and your tears. You don’t need to take revenge or make things right on your own. He will handle it. His justice may feel delayed, but it is never absent.

God’s timing may test our patience. But He knows everything—nakikita Niya lahat, at wala Siyang pinapalagpas. Psalm 11:5 says:

“The Lord tests the righteous…”

Yes, God tests us. But not to break us—to refine us. To redirect us when we’re lost. To realign us to His will. He is our refuge, even in trials.

“In the Lord I take refuge; how can you say to my soul, ‘Flee like a bird to your mountain’?” — Psalm 11:1

What can man do against me if I have the Lord?

Psalm 11 is a powerful reminder that our safety and security are not found in fleeing our problems but in running to God. David, surrounded by trouble, didn’t run away—he ran to the Lord. He trusted in God more than in the advice of those who told him to escape.

One sentence struck me as I reflected on this: “Wear the world like a loose garment.”

Love and pain often coexist.

The deeper the love, the deeper the ache when it’s gone.

But I’ve learned that Christ’s love is worth everything. Worth dying for. Worth living for. And because of His love, I choose to love again — but this time, with wisdom and surrender.

To all the girls (and boys — sige na nga!), please never forget:

I am now walking into a new season

— one full of unknowns, yes, but also full of grace. Because God’s promises never fail:

Ecclesiastes 3:1 “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”

Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He has made everything beautiful in its time.”

And I will wait.

I will trust.

There are things we must surrender:

The pain that once gave us identity

The people we thought we couldn’t live without

The wounds that shaped us

The version of ourselves that held on to anger, regret, and fear

I had to die to that girl — even if I loved her. She fought for herself. She wept silently. She carried burdens she wasn’t meant to bear.

One quote from Rosie Rivera’s book God is Your Defender struck me:

“God has His own calendar — not based on the world’s time, but His own divine timing.”

Then came this powerful verse:

Isaiah 63:4 “It was for me the day of vengeance; The year for me to redeem had come.”

I came from a 7-year relationship

I came from a 7-year relationship — one I thought would last forever. But when it ended, it broke more than just my heart. It shattered my identity.

I ran to God… not with hands lifted in praise, but with fists clenched in pain. I asked Him for revenge. I begged Him to show the consequences of the pain they caused. I imagined scenarios in my mind where He would fight for me — where justice would finally be served.

A Baptism, A Breakup, and the Birth of Someone New

What a beautiful way to end a beautiful day with beautiful people. How timely the title of what I came across today: “When the Journey Begins.”

Because today — my journey truly did.

Earlier, I stood before others and made a quiet but powerful declaration of faith through water baptism. When asked, “Why now? What’s your reason for getting baptized?” I gave the most honest answer my heart could speak:

“Of all the love, grace, and mercy He has shown me? Deserve ni Lord ang bagong ako.”

It's strange how certain years just stick with you—2017, for example. Lately, all the memories from that year keep coming back.

College life. My single era. Yung time na hunting for gwapos was part of the fun. I was a free spirit—hopeful, full of dreams and goals. I had time—so much time—with friends who felt like home. And then, I met someone.

He became part of my story for seven long years. Until one day, he left.

That kind of pain isn’t easy to explain. Hindi mo agad maiproseso. But through all the questioning, the aching, and the letting go, one truth remained unshaken:

God never left. He was there at the beginning, and He is still here—ever faithful.

So now, I ask myself: Who gained more?

My soul did. I may have lost someone I deeply cared for, but I found something more valuable: healing, identity, and the love of a God who never gives up on me.

To anyone out there who was left behind, who was told, “I can’t love you the way you love me,”—I want to remind you:

Your love is not too much. It’s not unworthy. It’s not wasted.

It was simply being poured into the wrong cup. Your love is a gift, and when the time is right, God will lead you to someone who won't just take it—but treasure it.

So today, I raise a quiet toast… Not for what I lost, but for what I’ve found.
