Imagine adoring Pomni for four episodes, you adore her design, the way she's so expressive, just how stressed out she is of everything, flawed, she is capable of making selfish decisions based on self preservation, but she is an empathetic person while also having a bit of sass to her.

I think I know why Jax feels so out of place in terms of being the main focus and a "second main character". It's because he feels no different from the other side characters, and his part in the story in general feels like it's interrupting the main plot of the story. Like in episode 7, the plot was trying to escape the circus, or at least try and find out what is really on. Meanwhile Jax is busy almost abstracting at the beginning of the episode. This plot point theb goes away for most of the episode, until the very end. And it's to interrupt Pomni and Zooble interacting for what I think is the second time in the entire series, all just for him to press a button and then have that be forgotten seconds after because of the reveal that it was all an adventure. Not to mention how they quickly brushed passed it in episode 8. While I do like that they don't spend most of the episode calling Jax out so we can focus on the more important stuff, the way they did this made it feel like the stuff with Jax was just a detour, and distraction from the more interesting plot going on with Caine. And that's basically how Jax feels throughout the entire series, he feels like a comic relief character stopping the story to tell some jokes because the main plot was getting too dark, but in this case, it's stopping the story to focus on a character that desperately wants to be the main focus, but only serves to take away time from characters we actually like. Which is why I'm worried about the movie. Because I am going into this movie, wanting it to focus on how they are gonna survive now since the have accepted that there is no way to escape. I'm hoping that they go into how Pomni or Kinger feels about Caine's death, because Kinger told Pomni back in episode 3 that "In this world, the worst thing you can do is make someone feel like they're not wanted or loved." And in episode 2, Pomni said to Gummigoo "I guess I just don't want you to feel like you're nothing. I don't want anybody to feel like that." Both Kinger and Pomni should be feeling really guilty right now. Kinger because he accidentally killed Caine, and Pomni because if she thinks back to what Caine said before he died, and what he said before he sung that song, she would realize that she and all the other humans had inadvertently made Caine feel like he's nothing. I want them to go into that in this movie....but...the trailers are all about Jax. Despite the fact that Jax's problems is probably the least important thing right now. I really hope that it's not just gonna be an hour of Jax, while Caine either stays dead, or just appears, completely redeemed, gives everyone free rain over the circus, and then just leaves them alone forever.
