Kingsman: The Secret Service Review in 2 points

1. Entertainment-4/5

With a director like Matthew Vaughn and the likes of Kickass, Kingsman had a lot to live up to for entertainment. Something that it seems to have succeeded in greatly. Not only were the fight scenes choreographed to an excellent standard, it had just the right amount of humour/ridiculousness/seriousness to make it work. I feel that this film is meant to be taken with a pinch of salt, and with the nonchalant, British gentleman meets modern youth storyline. You do just that.

2. Cast- 4/5

Kingsman has a rich cast of fantastic British actors, from Colin Firth to Michael Caine and of course, our American friend Samuel L Jackson (Surprisingly taking the role of 'bad guy', which is a refreshing change). But the most notable character is newcomer Taron Egerton. His performance showed us skills in both comedy and action and not to mention, he is genuinely a really nice guy. If anything, I feel that we didnt get to delve too deeply into his emotional cache, but, there's still plenty of time for that.

Getting my arse into gear!

For too long, I have procrastinated my life away and stopped doing the thing I love.

Writing.

So, I hope to change that.

I have come back to my old blog with the intention to get my ideas on 'paper' and break the monotonous trend that has become my life.

As well as this blog, which will take more of a literary direction, I am going to keep posting as much as I can on my Tumblr page, writing up a few reviews and, hopefully, gaining a bit more of an internet presence.

I have just re-activated this part of my brain so, bear with me and I hope I am able to provide you all with something worth while.
