it’s protective and soft. it’s the same kind of affection parents give their kids, partners share in gentle moments, friends use when they’re trying to comfort each other.

a forehead touch/kiss is basically just saying:

“you matter to me and you’re safe.”

• when one of them falls and the other tries to catch them and they both end up falling together

• when one of them smiles and the other one just stops talking mid sentence because they’re staring

• when they reach for the same thing at the same time and get that little flutter

• when they stand a little too close and suddenly become very aware of it

• when everyone else realizes they’re in love before they do

• when they fall asleep on each other accidentally
