White people deny that they live a different reality in this country because they don’t want to be made to feel uncomfortable for their privilege. But it’s the reality we are living in. There is a matter of police oppression on blacks, browns and people of color in this country and it should be acknowledged, not ignored or be argued against. 

Wrong (to an extent).

If they like you, they’ll give the time they can afford that fits within their life, not what fits in yours. This either fits well with the two schedules or doesn’t. This either is sufficient for you or isn’t.

An individual who sacrifices a piece of them for someone who they barely know or just started to date is not romantic, they’re nearsighted and not realistic.

Never expect or want your love interest to sacrifice any part of their life for you, do not be selfish and expect them to meet your requirements. The only expectations you are allotted are respect, honesty, and the effort they can afford.

Romanticizing love, effort, and interest creates such a facade of intent and forms expectations that are not sustainable over time. Sacrifice enough times and I assure you will burn out or lose a piece of yourself.

Yes, you’re going to meet AMAZING sexy fun people who you want, but doesn’t mean it’s the right time or meant to happen. Do not force connection. We yearn too much for things that are not ours. Stop it.
