The Red that never was || Ryouga

"True true! That's the spirit, Mikoto-kun!" Ryouga replied with excitement, before he returned the brave smile. "But, you know, I need the kitchen back, so I can prepare the curry." He added, remembering that the whole techology Mikoro was using for the searching process was still there. Of course, he didn't want to stop him, but there wasn't other way, right?

"Ah! Yeah, thats  what he calls himself!" Eki laughed a little and nodded, "I just call him Red Guy though. He doesn’t seem to mind. Tokatti’s my brother, but he’s also a hero. But he’s only been doing it for a little while, so I guess he’s new." She beamed happily up at Ryouga, "I’m sure he’d be really happy if you gave him advice!" She laughed a little at his assessment of Mikoto and shook her head. "He took me to a place to play darts and bought me juice. But he mentioned a curry shop! He said everyone there was very nice and I should visit sometime! I’d like to visit it! It sounded very nice!"

"I see! That sounds interesting. The world is little, so I'll meet your brother soon." Ryouga returned the nod with a smile. "Well, he didn't lie to you, the Dino Curry House is full with sweet people! And you might meet me there, too, once you visit it." The man stated. "I am not surprised he showed you how to play darts. He looks like he's into it a lot." Remembering how many times he threw darts at Yatsudenwani.

"Dunno. I stopped trying to understand people’s motives a long time ago." His voice was meant to have a sarcastic tone. However, the pounding in his head was not helping him to sound convincing. "Ah… Yeah. I’d appreciate that. My name’s Peco by the way." 

Tht sounded a bit familiar. Ryouga have met people with the same way of thinking, but again, it was like a déjà vu, sort of it. Once Peco introduced himself and agreed on Ryouga's offer, the older male reached to his hand, tried to be as careful as possible. Once he saw the boy in front of himself, a grin followed. "I'm Hakua Ryouga!"

"Well, they help me transform! Or they call forth these little critters from another dimension or something, they’re called Inves and uh…" He blinked. "Huh? You are?"

"Yes, I am!" He pushed back his left sleeve a bit so he could show the Dino Bracelet with a big smile on his face before asking. "Also, what's an Inves? Is that somekind of monster or?"

Yukito reached up to flick him on the forehead before giving him a slight smile in return. “Much better. Don’t make me remind you again.” That he was even willing to say this much showed how much Ryouga and the others had changed him.

"Ow!" Ryouga rubbed his forehead, somehow surprised by the sudden attack. Since when Yukito started acting like that? Strange, but the leader thought it wasn't that bad. "What was that for, Sanjou-san?" The smile Yukito showed didn't go unnoticed and made the leader smile back.

"Maybe! Oh!" An idea hit him. He thought it was a brilliant idea, really. "Why don’t we try and see if we can find a lock dealer? You can get a lock, at least a cheap one. Can’t promise you’ll get one of these though." He waved his driver in front of Ryouga’s face.

"Hmm.. Well, I don't think the duty as a Rider will suit me. And am not sure what are these locks doing." Ryouga laughed a bit, before imagining himself. "I am already a person with a suit, after all." He wasn't quiet sure is Kouta could understand where he was going.

"Thank you. We’ve really come a long way as a family, and Mikoto’s grown up so much. Now that she’s old enough, we’ve talked about bringing her to meet you all properly." Mahoro laughed softly, "We’ve told her so much about all of you over the years, so she’s very excited. She asks Tyranno and the others about you all the time."

"Really?" Ryouga already had on mind what Tyranno said for them, probably. "I am sure she will be all excited once she sees everything around her in the city."

"Iiidiot." Yukito dragged out the word this time, not really answering his question. Then he saw Ryouga’s smile start to fade, and reached out to punch him light in the shoulder. "Oy, whatever it is you’re thinking about, stop that. A smile suits your stupid face better."

Ryouga looked at Yukito's fist, then back to him. Those words actually made him blink, at first. After few seconds, the leader showed a big smile, still trying not to remind his team mate what he just said and probably make him act grumpy. "Okay!"

"E-Eh?!" This was too much for Ryouga to take. They really were fruits after all! How strange, yet cool it sounded! The new heroes these days sure picked interesting themes.." I am feeling little sorry for that guy, to be chosen by the banana.. Maybe that's because he's acting grumpy. Don't worry, I am used to people like him." The man couldn't help but laugh at Kouta's idea. He tried to hold it by putting a hand on his own mouth, then replying. "That would be funny! Yet awesome!"

"I’mg lad you’re doing well. I ran into Mai-chan a little while ago. It’s so nice to see you again. We all miss you very much." Mahoro smiled and nodded, "We’re doing well. Dino Earth has really come a long way since Asuka and I first went back."

"I see, I bet she was happy to see you." Ryouga answered. "I saw Asuka-san and just couldn't help but just smile once I heard about you two and Mikoto-chan. He looked so happy.. Also, he said that you're planning to visit us soon!"

Eki nodded happily, “He was really nice and made me a kaleidoscope and a toy bird and bought me juice!” She laughed a little, “He seemed kind of grumpy and stuff at first, but he’s really a nice person.” She seemed confused as he said he didn’t know the others, “Well.. I think Tokatii is really new at it.. but he’s protecting the Earth too! He lives on a big train! but the Red Guy seemed to know everyone… He had a whole book with all of your names in it and stuff…”

"Oh! You mean AkaRed. I do know him, but not the other one. But, if he's from the new heroes, then I would like to meet him some day!" Ryouga rubbed the back of his head, a little smile forming on his lips. "I just can't help but give the younger warriors some advices or courage. Also, Nakadai-sensei can get little grumpy like a cat, but he's a good person, like you said." Opening his eyes a bit wide as an idea came up on his mind, Ryouga's smile grew. "Say, did he treat you curry? If not, then I can! I see you have big interest for our planet."

A big smile appeared on Ryouga's face as he saw Mahoro. He waved at her before seeing her walking towards him. "Mahoro-san! You're right, it's been a long time! I feel great. And what about you?"

Her eyes widened slightly at the word ‘Abaranger’. She remembered that word.  She reached out to take his had and lift it up, using her other hand to push his sleeve back a bit and her face brightened. “It’s like the one Mikoto has!!”She smiled up at Ryouga, seeming pleased, “You’re like Mikoto and Tokatti and the red guy!!

The actions of the girl slightly surprised Ryouga, but he didn't seem like minding it. She sure was full with energy, it made the man laugh a little after hearing her mentioning his team mate. "Oh, you know Nakadai-sensei? That is great!" He nodded at her. "Yup, I do have this bracelet. But sadly, I am not sure if I know the other two people you mentioned."

Yukito batted his hand away with his usual mixture of a bored and an annoyed expression. “Who said I was worried?” Really, he should also stop being surprised by anything Ryouga did, as his leader seemed to work with a different sort of logic from him.

"I said it~ And I am sure you worry even more than me from time to time. Am I right?" Somehow, Ryouga's smile started fading away as he remembered the past, when they were fighting against the evil and used to get worried for each other, a lot. Gladly these times were gone now.

"Good…" Yukito looked back to give Ryouga a blank, incredulous stare as he said a random word, and his eye twitched before he looked away again. Why did he even bother worrying about this idiot? He clearly would always be fine in the end, so clearly there was never going to be anything to worry about.

"I think I proved you that I'm fine and you don't have to worry that much." Ryouga poked Yukito's chest with a silly grin on his face. He was somehow surprised at the reaction Yukito showed after hearing the random response, but the leader didn't mind it that much. This was Yukito, after all.
