I'm sharing my background music resources for free use, including commercial use.

You may download my entire free music collection, circa 2006-14, from the MEGA.co.nz links posted below. These tracks are in MP3 format unless otherwise noted, and they were written specifically with RPG Maker in mind, but they can be used for any kind of project. There are too many to offer individual downloads for each of them, but you can download several individually from my SoundCloud page.

There's no need to ask for my permission to use these, but please do include me in your projects' credits with my full name, Aaron Krogh. ;)

I’ve been working on commercial projects, including ‘Echoes of Eternea’ and ‘The Great Gaias’, for the past couple of years but I hope to release some new, free tracks in the next year or so. Thanks for checking out my page!

Feel free to use any of these songs as you please, including for commercial projects.

"The Great Gaias" RPG has returned to Kickstarter with a FREE downloadable demo! Please check out the new page, and check out my updated playlist for "The Great Gaias" soundtrack.

"The Great Gaias," is produced by Horizon's End Gaming, LLC.

After hours of sorting through my music archives, I was able to recover and export over 100 of my first songs from 2006 - 2008. Most of these tracks were composed using MadTracker for Windows -- not an ideal program for making video game music. Nevertheless, I am releasing downloads of most of my initial songs, ranging from numbers 1 - 141. Some songs were never finished, and they do not appear in this collection.

Eighteen tracks from songs 1-23 have been found -- they were thought to be lost in a hard drive crash, but a few of them survived and are now available for download.

Discs 5 & 6 contain music written specifically for RPGs. Some songs were even made with 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System synthesizers.

Here is a bonus track that is available on Disc 5 in a slightly different version:

As usual, anyone has my permission to use these tracks commercially. However, please note that these are not the kinds of songs you may have come to expect from me. They are synth-heavy with MIDI-quality instruments, and many are incomplete. The sound quality is MP3 320kbps. These are raw exports, and they do not loop.

Here's a free track for commercial or any other projects. It started out as an unrequited love theme commissioned for a friend's game. Many people are using it as a character theme or scene background. Enjoy!

THE GREAT GAIAS is an action-packed RPG similar in design to Final Fantasy VI, with many customizable characters and jobs, an awesome active-time battle system and an intense, engaging storyline.

The game is currently in production by Horizon's End LLC. It has been conceptualized and developed for over five years, with much of the story dating back from the 90's. So much work has been put into this game in order to make it an unforgettable gaming experience.

As the composer of the game, I have penned an exclusive, original score. Here are examples of music tracks I have composed for the game so far:

There are currently 13 job classes to choose from, allowing you to customize your party in whatevery way you desire. Assassins, Clerics, Dragoons, Paladins, Rangers & Rogues are some of the selectable classes.

As the player, you will also have the opportunity to build your own city in the richly populated world of Tenat. Depending on the kinds of people you choose to populate your city, many stories and events may unfold based on your actions. More player-created content has yet to be disclosed, but exciting opportunities await for contributors who want to design characters, weapons and dungeons of their own.

The Beta version contains original artwork which we will soon expand and imcorporate into the game. With your contribution, we will be able to bring the very best art and animation to enhance your gaming experience.

As of Thursday, June 13th, we have 29 days to reach our minimum Kickstarter goal of $25,000, with an extended goal of $50,000. Many people have contributed so far, and the potential rewards for donations are fantastic, including hard-copies of the game along with my original soundtrack, gorgeous art books, beta versions of the game, guaranteed influence in the game production, personalized character creations, and one special fully-paid weekend trip to NY to celebrate and enjoy a banquet in your honor, hosted by the game developers at Horizon's End.
