So, remember how, when Minato asked Igarashi if he knew Koyun a little while back, Igarashi said that he didn't? And Minato was wondering why that would be when she clearly stated that she hadn't gotten along with him? I've realised the answer was in this week's episode.

Basically, it's because of her parents' divorce.

In the flashbacks we saw when Koyun was having her converation with Yota, there was one where her flat's nameplate switched from Yuishiro (I think? I don't remember the name the subs showed, just that it changed) to Hikawa. Now, we don't yet know the exact sequence of the events of Koyun's middle school traumas. BUT, depending on how it went down, Igarashi may well have known Koyun as Koyuki Yuishiro, not Koyuki Hikawa.

So of course when Minato asked him "Hey, did you know Hikawa-san?" Igarashi would have been like "Uh who?" because that could technically be the truth. Now, if Minato asked him "Hey, did you know someone called Koyuki Hikawa?" it may have rung a bell and resulted in a different answer. But the surname "Hikawa" alone would potentially mean absolutely nothing to him.
