I close my eyes to darkness, awake again to numbness. That feeling of wanting to make a stream, hoping itâll open a way to an open sea - an escape to oceans with no barrier reefs.
But like a beaver I make a dam, âbig girls donât cryâ, says a voice that echos deep down inside. Creak, there goes one branch. Crack, and there goes another. All dams can only hold back so much. âBig girls donât cryâ, the voice cried again. But with all this pressure... âNO!â, I shout, eyes shut with no auditable sound. âBig girls donât cryâ, is what I finally said out loud, with my eyes finally shut and with no voice to keep me lucid.
Slumber took over, and finally... finally! The escape came without a stream to open seas - but it did lead me to an ocean with no reef. Iâm at peace. At last, Iâm in this perfect world of dreams.
I miss it
The hot sun that fed my skin with melanin, the cold waters that satisfied my thirst for coolness.
â˘
I miss it.
â˘
The land to which I use to despise, because of the criticism of people who do not want to dive, deep into the culture where they could find... knowledge. If not knowledge, then the wisdom of the roots of my people they refuse to let flourish.
â˘
I miss it
â˘
If only I couldâve seen the blessings that had laid before me. Family and friends who could have empowered me. Instead I focused on the idols who resembled false advertisement of change and power, that outcasts the colours. I cannot blame this white community for the paths I have chosen but..
â˘
I missed it
â˘
The chance to grow into a hibiscus, rich with history and culture of an island so full beauty.
â˘
I missed it
â˘
The chance to be a TÄine Samoa with graceful arms that tells stories of centuries before. A TÄine Samoa with a voice that echos across a nation to which could reach another TÄine that also lost track of her true beginnings.
But from this moment forward I say enough is enough! With my culture I will stand tall. And with final words I say farewell to the fear that had laid deep within myself. Goodbye, fear.

Reblog if youâre bisexual, support bisexual people or are actually a bunch of tiny velociraptors in a human suit
âyou look tired, are you???â âno, im just uglyâ
Youâre like Putty... Itâs so bland and dull, So easy to mold If left untouched it will turn hard and cold But you are something special, Only smart people will realize You can be used for many reasons Like filling in the void. You fill broken spaces, Spaces that were broken by others, You mend and stick But unlike cheap glue, Youâll stick forever, and become pleasant to viewÂ
Eyes and mouth
Watching the sunlight reflect off your eyes, I could stare at them for hours. All those times we spent together I watched your eyes sparkle. They turn into the most wonderful hazel brown eyes. I still get butterflies when you look at me. And that smile... Damn, your smile. When those corners turn up my heart seems to follow and pound a little harder.
When shit gets hard. Take a fucking nap.

Boys
âI love youâ - But he wonât stay if I donât please him in a certain way.
âI miss youâ - He says after we âprogressedâ our bond.
âI thought we were already going outâ - Not long ago you said we werenât fully in a relationship.
âI canât do this to youâ - The words he speaks after doing it to me.Â
You want a lot of things I canât give. You expect a lot of things I canât reach. And yet, you wouldnât change a damn thing to reach my standards. Wouldnât lift one finger to support me. Wouldnât even try to comfort me.Â
If you donât care. Then leave. Bye. Sayonara.
I don't recall a time when people were genuine about how they felt. They either over exaggerate their saddness or lie about their happiness. Or fake being "in love". These are the main emotions to which everybody takes for granted. Don't over exaggerate or under exaggerate. Be genuine. Be human.
Earphones in, music on blast, eyes shut + a warm breeze = Relaxation
I have a lot of things to talk about but to who? Who could genuinely care? Now a days, everybody looks for compition on who has a more sympathetic life. You can't even talk about how you feel for the upcoming, and unnecessary, story on how their lives are worse (or better). And you'd wish you haven't spoken a thing. I mean, I do feel sorry for you and all but right now, I need someone to talk to about my problems and my insecurities. I don't ask for your sympathy, just for you to understand me and hear me out. Because honestly, as much as I love to listen and help people with their struggle's, I would love it if the same people knew how to comfort me by doing the same. When people look to me for advise, I would always try to help in anyway possible. But when tables are turned, nobody wants to listen to a sixteen years old girl who they assume is being dramatic. Like damn, I stress too. I have struggle's too. I'm full of insecurities too. I love to be comforted too. There's this saying that goes, "Learn to listen as well as you speak".
It's unnatural for a woman to not fear anything

Messed up feelings
I got called pretty today.Â
I shouldâve been so happy, right? My smile shouldâve been the brightest smile in the room, my eyes shouldâve sparkled like crazy! Right? It shouldâve been.. right? So why did my heart swarm up in pain? Why did it feel like it blew up so big, too big, that it burst into nothingness? Why did my eyes threaten to shed tears, why did my throat choke down those tears?
Why did it hurt so much to be called pretty?
Maybe because of the fact that in the background I could hear a crowd laughing, maybe because that crowd was the opposite sex. And maybe because of the mockery that hung around their expressions when a friend had described me as something that was the opposite of what I actually am.Â
She called me pretty.Â
In that same moment I was called pretty, I felt ugly. In the moment I was praised upon I was also laughed upon. In the same moment I felt that people saw me as an equal, I felt discriminated and been put to shame.
Because to others, I am ugly. Because to others I am a joke. An ugly joke.
Could the people surrounding me at the time couldâve made me feel better? I donât know, but I do know they didnât try. Could they have known how I felt at the time? Maybe, because I was almost going to cry. But either way they didnât realize that it was the specific reason for my silence.Â
Yes, I went quiet. Whatâs the use of speaking when you get shamed down to nothingness? Shamed down to ugliness.
A silent killer
Nobody knew the mental battle she went through every day to find the confidence to show her  face. The mental war against anxiety, depression, heartbreak and the most dangerous of them all, self esteem. This kind of war is most deadly and yet, it is silent. Silent but deadly - A silent killer. Although it is optional for her to ask for help, she chooses to be a lone wolf. Risking the fact that... she could be defeated. That one day sheâll choose, not by force, to be defeated. Waking up every day is a struggle on itâs own. Because in her dreams she is free, confident, and living wildly without judgement. She has had adventures in these dreams. She has been to the moon and back, discovered new mystical creatures and had many affairs. So when she wakes up to face reality, she seeâs no adventures, no beautiful creatures and no romance around her. All she witnesses is a damp roof that restrains her from seeing more than just cracks and wet stains. A roof that doesnât shelter her but jails her. Looking at this roof, her mind wanders back into battle. Her shield of confidence is battered and cracking, her sword of spirit is dull not sharp and her helmet of happiness is now buried with the dead. The dead - her memories. A great army that once lived in her reality and mind. Theyâre now gone. Either forgotten, lost or have been ambushed by a sweep of deadly thoughts.Â
You are not pretty! Just give up! Listen to us! Why do you always pretend to be kind? Youâre so fake! Come into the dark... You will be happy! You donât have friends. Theyâre pretending! Forget about her and him, they donât really love or need you!
These whispers killed them all. And she canât even remember one person who had once loved her. Her head hung low, she was giving up - surrendering.
