Arsenic has redeemed.
Technetium keeps the cannon even after transitioning. (the most controversial change)
Francium wants to rebuild the French Empire.
Europium is the bully/jerk. (the second most controversial change)
Sodium and Potassium are no longer dating. They're married! :D
Radon is Iodine's colleague in medical research.
Silver works as an artisan and a barber. (someone sue the barber dawg)
Molybdenum and Technetium are now bro/sis relationship (sorry Rhenium, you ain't Tc's bro here)
Caesium is a cartoonish villain that has the ability to time travel, but all his plans to split the timeline is guaranteed to fail either before he does it or right at the crucial moment (example: he goes back in time, tries to make iron busy to not make Arsenic redeem, but trips off a balcony). He goes by Caesium the Grand Clocklord of Doom and Despair (for cartoony sake that's his name)
Aluminium went from conspiracy theorist to number theorist
Berkelium and Californium are now frenemies.
Iodine has PTSD. About something about the respawn anchor.

Story for Mo & Tc:
After a series of incidents(getting pushed off a cliff by Bromine, Mercury hacking Titanium that made her (Ti) shoot out rockets at Mo, ...) that Mo clutched with his cannon, he actually likes his cannon now. And the usefulness and positive memories with the cannon outweighs the dysphoria Tc would get, so she keeps it.
Story for As & Eu:
One day, As got really, really sick, and knowing that no one would take care of him, he decided to take care of himself. But even so, one day his body can't hold up anymore, and he collapsed in his room, fainted. Meanwhile, the other cattos have seen the lack of Arsenic's appearance around, but they don't mind. But Fe was a bit worried about As, so he goes to check As. Finding As lying on the floor, barely responding, Fe rushes As to I. He made it, Iron moves his room away from his toxic sisters, and his personality slowly gets better.
As for Eu, after her BIG success in filmmaking, he's getting a tad bit too prideful of their work, pairing with his already reactive personality, she became the bully/jerk.
Story for Hg:
This is a real life story btw
No detransitioning is forced in this AU. Their bodies, their rules, they get to detransition if they want to.
So, Mercury is both a liquid AND is pretty conductive, therefore it's probably reasonable for Hg to be a professional hacker. All he ever needs to do is pull off a precise dance on the circuit board and she's hacked it. Easy as that.
Story for Iodine:
I made the respawn anchor, that's why an element can't truly die and only truly dies when their existence is proven to be false.
