so anywayz i do believe the internet, social media, pharmaceutical drugs, food delivery, news, porn, etc. are absolutely being used to isolate us from each other and control us further to maintain late capitalism and if you can deny that at this point literally just unfollow me im too radicalized for you ✌️✌️

like, libraries getting defunded & replaced by bookstores, sidewalks & walkways in cities just not being upkept, public parks being devalued, the ever-increasing backlash against loitering, entire cities u used 2 b able to walk across you just can't now, u either need a car or the subway. how much of our lives are dedicated to work, & how much of that work is isolatory?
increasingly it's not only that digitization & automation are encouraging ppl to stay inside (though they 100% are, literally everything u said is true) but also that community spaces where in the past peers would naturally gather & form connections are at the same time very intentionally being removed, commercialized, made inaccessible by hostile design, or just straight up criminalized, its all connected & I think more ppl should be talking about it
