Hi everyone, sorry for the lack of activity...(((

It starts with Francis and Arthur getting into a nasty fight. Its bad. The worst one they had in decades. Its not poltical, its personal and has cut deep. These two truly do argue like the old married couple they are, but this is different. They can't even be in the same room together (let alone work together) and they have reverted back to using their sons to pass the occasional snarky messgaes back and forth. Arthur starts sleeping with alll his old fuck budies because that is how he reacts to a fight with Francis. Its what he has always done when trying to deny (to himself) his love for Francis and when he doesn't want to reflect on any feelings at all. Historically, Francis has done the same. This time, for some reason Francis can't or won't recogniz, fucking Alistair or Gilbert isn't enough. Its not antagonizing Arthur the way Francis wants. Its not hurting Arther in way Arthur needs to hurt.

Francis completely abandons his nation duties. The French government spends the next few years chasing after him trying to clean up his scandles and put out fires internally between them and British government. All while Francis spends the next few years crafting a public persona and becoming one of the world most famous leather wearing lover boy rockstar. Which in itself pisses Arthur off because Francis has never liked rock music. He always complained it was to loud, hurt his ears, and that the fans were to rowdy.

On stage Franics crafts these stories about a horrible ex that who he loved with all his heart and soul yet sice the start of time. Yet who just sucked the life force and will to live out of him all while refusing to commit and acknowledge his feelings. Its all a very romantic fantasy persona. Nations aren't public knowledge in this, and so to all the human think this ex is just some terrible narcissist roaming the streets who needs to be held accountable. The fan x Francis reactionship is very parasocial. And he knows it. Francis does nothing to stop the rumors and the gossip from spreading. He actively fans the flames with lyrics and interviews. Mods an entire subreddit dedicated to finding out who the ex is. Likes Instagram posts shading the mystery ex. Eventually, Francis "accidentally" has his cloud hacked and soon enough the fans figure out who the ex is. Arthur gets hounded if not borderline harassed for months until Francis finally calls it off.

Theoughout this, Francis is very publicly publicly fucking all of the groupies. He has an entire little ever changing polycule going on. It on every tv channel, in every magazine, online. Even in conversations with humans it comes up as a topic of discussion. Arthur still to this day argues it was more of a sex cult then an actual relationship based polycule.

After like three years Arthur has enough and ends up doing his best to admit he was wrong. Promises to try and do better and change (he doesn't). Francis abandons the entire rockstar gig right then and there. Becomes a mystery himself overnight. An apology is all he wanted. He'd stopped being angry months after their breakup.
