i miss writing in coffee shops it helps me so much and i need caffiene but blugh))

You open your dorm's door, looking left and right for anyone who might disturb you. Finding no one, you sigh in relief and re situate your purse, in a futile attempt to get it to stop digging into your shoulder. Your red shoes click on the cement, your strides long and sure. This was going to be a good day. You turn left by the gates, as if on a dime and pull out a large piece of paper and a pencil. Finally, you were going to make a map of the town. A few humans pass, sending you glances and whispering about something that humans whisper about, possibly your giant parchment and determined gaze, or maybe they've just never seen a dead troll before. Geez. You slow down, using mailboxes as a flat surface to continue your map on, sitting on every bench available to erase stray lines and write down street names. Maybe you could organize a scavenger hunt around here. Then everyone would stop calling you a square. Just because you have a curious mind and the gift of gab, that doesn't make you boring. They don't get it. You shrug, rolling  up the ends of the paper as you walk, humming a ballad and almost tripping over cracked sidewalks. Maybe you'll finally find the lake everyone talks about today.
