The living room of designer Melanie Martin’s California house has rough-textured walls as a natural background for primitive woods, including random-shaped poles holding unhemmed canvas curtains.

‘GNOS’ Karaoke Rooms - designed by Atsushi Sato, located in Shiba Minato-Ku, Tokyo (year unknown) 

“GNOS, situated in a business district of Tamachi, Tokyo, provides 25 karaoke rooms which are designed upon different concepts. For a customers who want to relax by taking off their shoes, a Japanese style room or a room with a small bed and sofas are provided. If customers wish to sing like a professional, standing on a stage for the audience, they can use a room with a stage and a lighting system. For those who want to enjoy singing in a bathroom, a room with a Jacuzzi was planned. It was however not realized for some reason.”
