After a gust of wind relaxes but before the next breeze begins. The way that your skin tingles as it fights off the cold. The gap between a flash of lightning and the thunder which always follows. The way you hold your breath and look to the sky. The second after a mirror shatters but before the shards of glass fall to the floor. The fragmented reflection that stares back at you. Once the sentence has left my lips but before the sadness reaches your face. The deafening silence in my mind as I wait for a response. I exist in the moments between, And they are so easily forgotten.
