My fiancée has been waiting anxiously for my recovery. But I am afraid. Afraid that time and pain will exhaust her. Afraid she will look at her future and see a man who cannot stand, cannot work, cannot provide. The fear of losing her hurts me more than my physical pain. I am terrified of losing her the way I lost my ability to walk.
I met an Italian doctor who told me there is hope. He said stem cell therapy could improve my condition. There is a chance I could regain strength and movement — God willing. But the treatment is extremely expensive.
My medical journey may cost up to $10,000.

Hi I don't see it often so shout-out to my creative friends who struggle to stay creative. I feel like a lot of language around the struggle has shifted to harsh since the rise of stuff like character ai (which I'm not defending, but I've noticed this kind of thing on a lot of posts against it) and I know too well that it's not always as easy as "talking to your blorbo in your head."
Even if it was easy for you before, life circumstances change, our brains change, stress often can take away creativity first in my experience, and sometimes you're just Stuck. That's been my situation on and off for a few years now. It doesn't mean you're any lesser than the people who are able to.
