⟢ maintain a straight posture and keep your head up, if you want to place your music stand to be taller than you so you have to look up

⟢ breath control is key (get it), do exercises that strengthen your diaphragm

⟢ for emotional songs think of something that always makes you cry and express it in your voice

⟢ most people think it’s disrespectful to yawn but yawn as much as you can ! it stretches your vocal chords and is so good for your voice

⟢ a low grade is only room for improvement. immediately ask to make up or redo anything, go over it and make sure you understand your mistake so you may improve in the future

⟢ play games like sudoku, word find, crosswords, chess, and puzzles, as they’re super stimulating for your brain

⟢ coffee coffee COFFEE 👏

⟢ hang out with people you look up to academically. if someone has perfect grades? befriend them. if someone is dostoevsky reincarnated? befriend them. therefore you can study together and help each other

⟢ even if they’re your friends, don’t let people copy all of your work. i know it’s hard but learn to say no politely

⟢ practice studying with your friends using the feynman technique, or pretend to be the teacher and teach each other

⟢ consider starting to play an instrument, it improves brain function and reduces stress

⟢ quit social media as much as you can !! if you are addicted to social media then i recommend making it study tips and queue your posts like i do

⟢ listen to podcasts, or even make your own podcast if you’d like

⟢ use quizlet + gizmo.ai to study for exams

⟢ i use notion and my own journal to organize all my classes

⟢ purchase textbooks for your classes, you can get a big fat notebook or anna’s archive

⟢ finish all of your assignments the moment you get home !! i cannot stress this enough

⟢ treat extra credit as an actual assignment, they are very important !

⟢ never be afraid to be lost in your own thoughts. always think about others and things you can do to help them

⟢ learn proper etiquette. by this i don’t mean only focus on pleasing others, but learn to be polite even if you don’t like the person as much

⟢ an angel always puts others before herself. learn to make small sacrifices for others and be kind !

⟢ although you may be very tempted to gossip please learn to avoid it, especially if it’s judging others by their clothes, appearances, or mental health

⟢ not mindset related but declutter !! it’s super important and it gives you more energy , listen / watch marie kondo if you don’t know where to start

⟢ avoid biting your nails as much as you can ! i recommend a chewing necklace / bracelet for whenever you want to bite them

⟢ you don’t need a 20 step skincare routine but do moisturize, i use the hempz moisturizer and it works very well 💗

⟢ for my hair i always detangle before bathing, then apply some milk and honey on my hair when it’s damp, then put nettle tea shampoo on my scalp only while massaging it, then l’oréal paris ever pure bond repair conditioner ! i have straight hair but for my wavy, curly, and coily hair girlies pls avoid heat as much as possible or use heat protectant !

⟢ burt’s bees lip balm is my all time favorite, it’s super moisturizing and tinted ! make your own lip scrubs and purchase red vaseline, they’re very helpful too

⟢ if you don’t have a lash curler i like to use a spoon, and you can make or purchase a lash serum if you want your lashes to become longer and thicker

⟢ find a signature fragrance ! angel delights, elegant girl, and baby powder (all by femmenina) are my favorites

⟢ wear lighter colors when you can

⟢ satin nightgowns are soooo elegant

⟢ this is a very common tip but thrifting. don’t just skim through one section and leave, but go to several shops to explore each and every detail

❦ sell things you won’t need or want on poshmark or vinted

❦ organize your books

❦ clean out all of your drawers, maybe find a way to organize them

❦ get rid of expired makeup, skincare, and food

❦ clean towels and the bath/shower !! the less clean it is the less it cleans you

❦ sweep the porch & patio

❦ dusting & vacuuming

❦ wipe sinks, mirrors, & counters
