got to hang out with a few parrots recently and i’m a huge fan of how u can see it in their eyes how their upmost instinct will always be to pry and peel and dig like they are always looking for something to pluck out or pick at or break. they can’t spend a moment with ur nails without trying to get underneath them. they will make it their life’s mission to extract all your jewelry from ur face. they will find ANY textural anomaly on ur skin and destroy it. i do think if they knew there were bones underneath ur flesh they would have at those too. acquaintance of mine has a bird that’s very fascinated with teeth and will bite at ur teeth so i have a feeling this must be true.
