Yet again: Western tourist in Dubai arrested after reporting her own gang rape
The British woman was arrested and charged with “illegal extra-marital sex”.
The 25-year-old claims she was attacked by two other tourists who filmed the ordeal, both of the rapists have already left Dubai without any issue. She has since been released on bail. Instead of supporting and treating the victim, she has been forced to pay to not end up in jail.
Her struggle is not over, as authorities have confiscated her passport to ensure she will not leave the country. She is still likely to face trial with punishments that can range from jail to flogging to even stoning.
A spokesperson for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office confirmed the case.

Its funny they say to Europeans to make sure we don’t offend costums and values when traveling abroad, because they say the same when we are in our own countries; To not offend foreigners.
