IT'S A SKITTERS! oOuOo
@katanamasako
Is the Skitters!
Skitters has returned! and is missing an arm, again, but doesn't seem as concerned about it. She grinned, holding out a found shiny. Probably not as valuable as most treasures, but it is a uranium glass jar. a very old item. "Skitters found a fun thing. It's shiiiiny, or at least skitters thinks it is... needs to be cleaned." -@3v3ryd00r
Something was beeping in the background as Skitters approaches, and the beeping increased as she got closer, waving her prize about.
Arrha intercepts her, growling in Eliksni about how she dared to risk their Baron’s life over a trinket, but The Spider raises a hand.
“Arrha, relax. She means no harm by it. I bet you don’t even know what you’ve got there, do you?”
The fat Eliksni reaches out, taking the glass into his large hands curiously. “Uranium glass..the signature green shine is the giveaway! Tell me, my friend, where did you find this? I thought the last of it was destroyed lonnnggg ago.”
Skitters blinked a little at Arrha, each eye blinking slowly in succession confused at the aggression before happily handing the item over to Spider. "Is dangerous?" she tilted her head. "Skitters found it in a safe buried in an old wrecked building. Safes always have shiny stuff so skitters had to crack it open to see." she grinned. "There was a booby trap and skitters is a booby, apparently." she motioned to her missing arm "but skitters kept the shiny safe!"
Skitters has returned! the spider inching across an overhead structure beam in the temple. before dropping down on a rope of webbing, holding out a parcel to Cronus. Another set of silken finery for the god. "Skitters has a delivery, yes. Shiny Coins please." -@3v3ryd00r
"There you are!" Cronus took the parcel eagerly, "These are the ones I sent for, yes? Oh you even got the embroidery right!"
Cronus gripped the parcel greedily, before summoning a handful of coins from his treasury.
"Your payment as agreed." He said, passing them to the spider, "I trust there was no concern at your presence in the village?"
Skitters was harmless, mostly. Cronus knew she dabbled in piracy, but she was far too intelligent to behave like one in his domain.
Still, her presence may have startled a villager or two. Cronus just wanted to be sure he wouldn't have to soothe any frazzled nerves.
"Skitters has been behaving herself." The spider assured him. quickly pocketing the gold coins. She was indeed smart enough not to steal... anything of worth. she may or may not have gotten a five finger discount on a bottle or two from the tavern.

The clatter of hooves slowly entered the temple, uneasy on tile flooring, the large individual took care to make sure his hooves didn't slip from under him. A centaur, something not often seen these days, carefully made his way through the crowd. Hefting a large basket to the ground, it was filled to brimming with mushrooms and wild herbs. "heard villagers can't safely pass into the forest, so i brought some of the forest bounty as an offering to the resident... deity? god? ... one by the name of Cronus." -@3v3ryd00r
The golden Lares bowed their heads low; accepting the newcomer's presence. The skeletal creatures hovered up to the temple, alerting said resident God of a newcomer.
"Yes, yes, I know I must greet him, I didn't learn manners yesterday, you know.' He scolded the guardian spirits before turning to the newcomer.
"Good Afternoon! I'm delighted by this wild bounty you offer, and grant you a----"
He stopped, staring in surprise at the four=legged creature.
"A boon." He finished, somewhat lamely.
Aspen rose to full height, crossing his arms over his chest. "Just want to be able to safely enter the village and take up work from time to time.... I have some plow training. Animal Husbandry. Some very basic lumber and mining, though i don't know if i will fit in a mine that was not specifically made for centaur use."
"Let me write you a workers permit, sorry, I was a bit taken back. We don't get many centaurs around here."
Cronus snapped his fingers, and a quill, inkwell, and paper appeared out of thin air. He dipped the quill into the ink and began writing out his signature on the floating piece of paper.
"And whom am I making this permit out to?"
"To be fair, i've not really seen any other centaurs either. Oh, right, I didn't introduce myself. My name is Aspen. I was raised as a wood elf so the name was given by my father. I'm half Wood elf, but look like my mother." He grinned.
"I've heard remarkable things about the Craftmanship of woodelves, they are a very fine people." Cronus proclaimed. He signed the name to the paper, then turned it toward the centaur.
"If you'll just sign here, you'll be agreeing to abide by the laws of the land while you are here and allowed to buy and sell within the village."
"They are... an interesting people. to say the least." Aspen laughed a little nervously, before taking the pen and signing the form, passing it back to him. "First thing to ask... do you have a farrier or blacksmith in this village of yours? I need to trade out the shoes on my hooves."
"I'm sure the Blacksmith can arrange something for you?" Cronus takes the form, and it vanishes in a puff of flame, "We do have a few horses in the village."
"Excellent. I'll be sure not to cause trouble." He bowed his head before carefully turning and making his way out of the temple.

Sotsona could very well see that Buck was picking fights again. Standing she dusted herself off before grabbing her shepherd's hook, using it to hook onto Buck's horn and pulling him away from the not so small dragon hatchling "Come on ye great hooven disaster, let's not pick fights with behemoths, yeah?" She pushed him towards the ewes to get him back to his herd then turned to the small dragon, gently using her crook to push Tokitael back towards his mother. "Let's not mess with herbivores with a violent streak, yeah?"
Foam snuffled at her hand, being very gentle. Tokitael carefully approached next, also giving the hand a sniff. Foam relaxed, then. This woman was alright. She hadn't done anything threatening to them. Foam looked to the horned creature, then. The mother dragon gave a deep, low rumble. Not a threatening sound.
Foam was merely curious. Tokitael was now more interested in the woman. She chirped sweetly, and pushed her nose into the extended hand.
Buck bleated at them, though at his size it sounded more like a bellow. Sotsona smiled, moving her hands to gently scratch Tokitael under the chin "Don't mind Buck, he's not the friendliest. the lambs and ewes are docile though."

There is a small child sitting at the base of a tree. waiting. holding a staff close to herself. Despite the yellow dress she wore, her boots were made for walking. and her skirt's hem was dusted with the grime of travel. -@3v3ryd00r
Hazamaveth watches her from the branches of a big old bitternut hickory. He clutches at the trunk with his front claws and back feet pressed into the bark; like a bat on a wall.
The girl is just a little slip of a thing; and so cute it makes his teeth ache. Not to mention; she doesn't seem afraid. In fact, she looks right at home, sitting under the bitternut tree.
And seeing such a darling thing has him feeling a bit ornery.
Daylight isn't the best for raising haints, but he's never been one to turn from a challenge.
He creeps down lower, as silent as a spider, and makes his breath as cold as a graveyard breeze, blowing down gently.
It travels the ten feet or so down to tickle the back of her neck.
"Alright. I'm gonna come down and do my duty, on account of my great-grandfather. You just ask that Yokai to keep his distance."
Hazarmaveth shimmied down the trunk slowly, extending his long leg and setting foot back down on the ground.
"Well, Miss Yuki, on behalf of the Rawhead family, I'd be honored to escort you while you're in my woods. There isn't much trouble round here, the black bears are pretty well fed, and the coyotes would be more interested in your friend than you. Still, The Righteous Guides his neighbor, just like the good book says."
He drops to all fours, lowering himself close to the ground by way of apology.
"For what It's worth, I wasn't going to hurt you none. I just think a good scare shouldn't go undone. Raising haints is my nature."
Suki tilted her head a little. "you follow a religion? ... I suppose i shouldn't be surprised, i just... didn't expect something that looks quite like you to want to." She admitted to him. "I already figured that out, usually when something wants to cause harm, they don't really announce themselves first."
"Now, now, I don't 'follow' no religion. Just know some people around here seem to use it in their arguments, so I figured I'd study it."
He seemed pleased that she'd deciphered his nature.
"Exactly! Like a rattlesnake! If it meant you harm, it wouldn't rattle its bones! It'd just strike!"
"Oh... that makes sense. Gotta know the thing to counter it." Suki tilted her head a little. "precisely. Most creatures don't inherently want to hurt someone, humans are just really really good at invading creatures' spaces."

Hazarmaveth flicked his tail, cocking his antlers to one side.
"Do you use herbs and things in your magic making? Can you tell when the rain's coming and ask it to wait a while? Can you cure warts or fever?"
"... yes, no and no... i don't know any higher tier spells like cure illness yet. I mostly know protective spells and summoning. things like mending, shocking grasp, tiny hut, and of course, find familiar, gotta know where Sir Neko is in case i need to see. The void took my sight so i have to borrow his eyes on occasion."
"Well, from the sounds of things, a wizard is pretty close to a witch. Under the same umbrella, at the least. And my family owes a long debt to witches. Bit of a problem, actually. I really wanna come down off this tree and help you on your way, but I don't want to be anywhere near that---that cat."
"i mean, you're right, it is pretty close. it's down to where our magic comes from that separates me from a witch. I haven't made a pact." She explained to him. "er... would it help if i said he wasn't exactly a cat... he's a yokai. A nekomata.... I think... i mean he has two tails and speaks... typical nekomata activities." she smiled.
THAT eased his stress a great deal.
"So he ain't a cat, he's something pretending to be a cat?"
"Yes and no... Yokai are more like... supernatural energy given shape. this one happens to be a cat... this isn't his proper form, but his bigger form scares me too much and he says i'm too pitiful when i'm in tears to take seriously." The feline chuffed softly "Well it's true. You're already tiny."
