No one said trans men aren't oppressed. They are! For being trans! Not for being men. "Transandrophobia" isn't real, and there are a lot of reasons you shouldn't use that word.

1. it implies the existence of societal misandry, which just isn't true & is harmful to feminism as a whole to say.

2. It either waters down the TRANSPHOBIA trans men face into some kind of weird MRA stuff, or implies they somehow aren't the same gender as cis men by saying they don't good male privilege. They do. I don't want to see my trans male friends as "not really men"- my friends ARE men, and they know that means they hold some power over me. Ideally, they'd use that power for good.

3. It was coined by a violent transmisogynist who openly has a fetish for coercively raping trans women and lesbians. It was popularized by someone who is now a mask off TERF & neonazi.

4. "Transandrophobia" takes the word "androphobia"- a real teen that is still in common use in therapy for women who are terrified of men (almost always due to domestic or sexual abuse)- and twists it to mean "bigotry against men". This is deeply misogynistic and harmful to survivors.

5. The transandrophobia movement is linked to TERF ideology & MRA groups, which are actually more linked than you'd think as both oppose trans women.
