What you all need to understand is that abusive relationships don't just begin and end with some fights it's also about all of the moments in between. It's about the fights you don't even have but you think you might have. It's about all the times when you feel like something is wrong and you start worrying for hours, mentally going through every single conversation you've had to find out if there's anything you did or said that might have triggered your abuser into ignoring you. It's about all the times when you get talked over and your opinion gets invalidated, it's about the times when you start telling others that you can't meet up on Monday because you abuser is successfully isolating you from everyone else. It's about the times when you begin to feel insecure about yourself, about the times when you start snapping at others even though you know that it's wrong but you feel overwhelmed with emotions. It's about feeling helpless and small and bad about yourself when, even after you realized what happens to you, you can't immediately find a way to get out of there. Normally the fights aren't even the biggest problem but the resulting change of behavior and feelings is.
