OK!! I have realized I've never drawn Evil Rick. MAN!!! He is fun to draw. Look at that lil scar. Yum.

I believe that this Rick would be such a masochist tho HAH ("do your worst!!" cit.), but for the sake of my imagination, this time he is using you for intel or something, SO YOU BETTER NOT MOVE!!!

But oh boy its too many robots.

I kinda hate (i say hate but it gives me stuff to think about) how mortys moral stances are taken in this show. Like every time i remember morty doing something morally good, like trying to save someone for example, he just gets beaten down. Like he gets “taught a lesson” and told he just sucks and is selfish or whatever when it happens. I know rick has a whole philosophy about how nothing you do matters and anything good is actually shit, but it doesnt really seem like morty is able to be reassured that he can do good with his actions.

In previous episodes, he tries to be good, but is targeted and told he isnt good because of his motivations, such as saving a girl cause he wants to get with her. But even if he has motivations that spurr certain actions, morty is still doing good and shown to do so without ulterior motives and sometimes without even taking credit. There is those instances such as when morty goes back to other dimensions that rick messes up to fix his mistakes for the sake of those dimensions in the two crows thing. As well as in the go go tron episode when he stays loyal to his family despite being treated poorly, and then getting kicked out afterwards and not even explaining his perfectly good reason for being absent. Theres just a lot of good actions morty does that is either beaten down or not given any credit.

With this episode he goes through this whole process to save the one “person” that had a functioned to protect morty and generally just be there for him when reese was able to be around, but in the end it goes to shit. Like sure reeses body is alive and inhabited but reese isnt exactly the same personality as before and morty will probably never see him again. So there goes one source of safety. And in the end of the episode, ricks outlook on mortys behavior and how rick affects him does not change as rick digs in and hurts the kid with that last line. This episode rick just seemed to just hate morty, couldnt care for his affect on his grandson, and that he chooses alcohol and his own convenience/laziness over morty

He is perpetually fed the idea that he is stupid and that he is incapable of doing good, either on purpose due to his own incompetence or because he is simply not an actually good person. That he should just stop attempting anything.

I think my point here was that morty tries to be good, is reframed by others to be the opposite to keep him from continuing to act out or be better. He is restricted from feeling in control and certain of himself. His idea of right and wrong is purposely pressured to allow more free rein of wrongdoings.

PRIME MENTION?!

If he was referring to Prime, then that means that reassurance he gave to Morty at the end of season 6 ep 1 saying he wasn't bait was a lie or maybe Rick just called him bait in the moment of rage.
