ace trappola who acts all smug while in a relationship with you on the outside but is actually shitting his pants on the inside.

his past relationships were all roses and rainbows in the first weeks before he'd eventually end up getting bored and start ghosting his partners, that's how it's always been.

so why was he so scared now? why was he so afraid of messing things up with you? he always tried to act nonchalant in front of the other first years, saying he didn't care about falling in love, but fate decided to play a trick on him.

the old ace trappola would've never signed his and his partner's dates on his phone's notes as a reminder so he wouldn't forget ; the old ace trappola would've never bought something small to his partner ‘just because’ ; the old ace trappola would've never fell in love this hard.

yet here he is, the few times he sneaks off to ramshackle to have a sleepover with you, he catches himself staring at your sleeping face and mentally slaps himself for what he has become, a sappy yearner in love.

“can we change game, you know i don’t like obbys, they’re so lame.” ace sighed beside you as you both joined ‘2 players obby’ “it was my turn to choose, and i wanna play this so suck it up.” you were pretty much surprised when you found out that alot of the online games you had in your world could be found in twisted wonderland too, and that’s how you ended up here, spending the past 2 hours with one of your best friends in your dorm.

“alright, but if we get stuck on a stage, we are changing game.” he huffs as his character spawns next to yours, he would rather play some fighting game and bully you and your avatar, but of course you had to pick this dorky game where you need to pair up with someone and hold their hand and jump around. that’s so. boring. he tells himself.

after 10 minutes he gets so invested he won’t let you leave till you finish the obby together “dude you SUCK!” “SHUT UP. STOP DRAGGING ME DOWN.” 40 minutes go by and you’re still not over, you sigh loudly “alright i give up! ace, find something else to play.” “no way! we HAVE to finish this now since you wanted to play so bad.”

i wanted to write this so much sooner but i’ve been so lazy these months i apologize ｡ﾟ(｡ﾉωヽ｡)ﾟ｡

ace has been doing nothing but pull pranks on you the whole week and you swore you could’ve seen strings of white hair growing on you for how much stress you were going through. it was like he took pride in your annoyed expression staring at him, he couldn’t get enough of it.

that’s why you were currently chasing the red hair boy in the school halls after he stole one of your books, the other students looked at the bothof you like it was nothing new. “ace trappola! give me my alchemy book back!” you yelled at him with the air you had left in your lungs “nuh uh! if you want it back you gotta catch me first.” he replied right after, taking a turn to the stairs.

you sprinted right after him, not knowing where he was going exactly, the structure of the academy is still semi unknown to you as big as it is, and of course not thinking straight of where you were following ace to, you just had to trip on the stairs, just your luck; you were ready to feel the cold floor pressed against your body, but it never happened, instead you were met with a pair of arms catching you from your waist, your head accidentaly colliding against ace's, and your lips against his as you both fall to the ground.

ace slightly whines in pain as his back hits the floor, clearly not realizing what happened between the both of you, you quickly try to get up and help him back up as well “oh my god, are you alright ace!? im so sorry i should’ve watched were i was going.” you offered your hand to him, hoping he wouldn’t point out the accidental kiss or how thinking about it made your cheeks flush and your heart beat faster “im okay..you should be more careful though, i won’t always be here to save you prefect” he says with his signature smirk, and suddendly you don’t feel so bad for him anymore.

you pick up your book and without saying another word you make your way to class while ace watches you walk, he presses his fingers on his mouth, thinking about your lips pressed against his, and even if it was for just a moment, even if it was accidental, even if that meant nothing to you, he’ll never let that moment go.

on a serious note he’s literally the #1 ‘chubby people’ lover and nobody can tell me otherwise, there will be always an hand sticking on you 24/7 squeezing at the fat of whichever part of your body he’s grabbing and he LOVES it, he lives to feel more skin under him

you’d be his personal pillow i don’t make the rules guys. let him lay his head on your stomach and he’s napping for hours you actually need to check if he’s still alive

oh lawd and if you wear something a tad more revealing?? don’t expect him to get off of you anytime soon cause that man will get very handsy every chance he gets growling at any guy who looks at you for more than 5 seconds

ever since you and ace became friends, you can't help but notice how much he talks.. not in a bad way of course, he has a lot to share and you can admit he’s funny most of the times, but having some peace wouldn't be so bad either, and you can't seem to make him zip his mouth in any way

you were in your dorm room, sharing your bed while ace talked about anything that came to his mind. all you wanted was to rest after an intense morning of learning potions you’ll probably never use in your life, but it seems like he had other plans

that's why you suddendly rolled over facing his direction, cupping his face into your hands and resting your lips against his. you have no idea how that boldness came over you, but you would’ve given anything for 5 minutes of quiet

his face is completely red, lips forming a pout. “you look way more handsome when you’re talking, ace” you said admiring his features after pulling away

safe to say that every time he tries to speak to you, words get stuck in his throat for a while, his mind running back at the moment you were leaning against him, at least until he finds the guts to confess to you

ace isn't as big as others may be on pda, he doesn't do passionate gestures in public to show he loves you but he will be holding your hand every single time you're together

he doesn't even realize he's holding it in the first place, he wraps his pinky with yours first and ends up squeezing your hand into his after a few minutes, he's so used to shield you from dangerous situations he does it automatically, always having his hand on yours so he can protect you because “obviously without magic you can't protect yourself” he says, but the way his hand is so tight on you says otherwise

when he does notice he still won't pull away, acting so nonchalant like he's not internally trying not to sweat up his whole palm (he doesn't want you to let go)

he tries to find so many excuses to hold your hand and some of them are so lame like “we don't want you to lose yourself in the school now do we?” and you've been there for some months already or when he drags you out to skip class with him because he's bored out of his mind, he knows you'll follow him either way

he doesn't say “i love you” much, he doesn't hug you or kiss you in public unless you specifically ask him for it, but the way his hand always tries to find yours in every situation to let you know he's there by your side tells you how much he cares

Sebek is his usual overzealous self when *demanding* that Ace follow the 'proper' courting rituals while Ace does his best not to go into cardiac arrest.

Ortho thinks it's the most entertaining thing ever and is happy to egg Ace on. Much to his dismay. (Also Ortho might be filming everything to save for the 'inevitable' wedding/showing it to Idia)

Deuce is dropping the most atomically obvious hints ever to you and Ace does his best to strangle him from 5 feet away.

OMG i loved this so much

ok imagine ace wasn't going to talk about your crush with the group at all but ortho of course noticed the way he acts around you, trying to make you laugh more or the way his smile brightens when you talk to him and pointed it out while they were all together

deuce was completely dumbfounded because he had no idea (he's a little dense like that) and is now bombarding ace of questions such as when did his infatuation with you started or when was he planning to confess, he declares himself his wingman and will do anything in his power to get you to to be together

sebek tries to push him into actually courting you like a real gentleman would do while yelling in his ear suggesting romantic places he could take you out at or the top 5 most beautiful flowers to give you, all that screaming definitely got him almost caught by you multiple times

epel and jack are completely chill, they don't breath down his neck like deuce and sebek do but they always offer up to help him if he ever wants to make a move on you, epel WILL laugh at him if he does or says something embarassing in front of you while jack face slap himself mentally

OKAY WHAT IF you randomly confess to them that you like ace too but you're not sure if he reciprocates so now they're biting their nails because both of you are so obvious to eachother its so painful to look at they have to set you guys up themselves

overall they all cheer for both of you and are your number one supporters ❤️
