A lot of people are asking which choices affect whether you get the Upright or the Reversed Ending, so I collected what I got so far:
First part is for the Upright ending, second part for the Reversed; I’m sure about the bolded ones, not sure about the others.
Let the beast sniff you || Sniff the beast (Chapter 8, The Low Road)
Say you had a bad dream || Say you had a good dream (Chapter 8, Away from It All)
Agree to help Saguaro || Say you’re too busy to help Saguaro (same chapter)
Insist on helping || Let Asra do it alone (same chapter)
“Good thing you had each other” || “Good thing you got away.” (Chapter 9, The Hermit)
Trust Scout || Turn away from Scout (Chapter 16, Sound and Fury)
say you are safe with the Magician || say you are not safe with the Magician (same chapter)
Ask Nasmira about Prakra || Don’t talk with Nasmira in the carriage (Chapter 8, Unwelcome Help)
Give Nasmira suggestions || Don’t talk with Nasmira, again (Chapter 9, Between the Lines)
Say Nadia should talk to Portia || Advise her to send Portia away (Chapter 9, Safe Harbour)
Talk to Portia || Test Portia (Chapter 10, The Portia Problem)
Say that Portia cares about Nadia || Say that Portia lied (same chapter)
Ask the sisters for help || Say you can handle the masquerade organisation alone (Chapter 13, Dark Horizon)
Ask where the High Priestess is || Say you should leave (same chapter)
Follow Scout || Don’t follow Scout (Chapter 16, Convergence)
“You tried to do it alone” || “Lucio would have never listened.” (same chapter)
Chose the High Priestess, Death, and the Fool cards || Chose all the wrong cards in the labyrinth (Chapter 17, The Labyrinth)
Be forgiving towards Lucio ( “Why should I?” and “I don’t need anything” || Be unwilling to help Lucio ( “Are you kidding me?” and “No. Let him rot.”) (Chapter 19, Last Resort)
I haven’t done Julian’s yet, but these are the one’s I’d try (you can find all possible choices on the wiki!):
“You can come back” || “I forgive you.” (Chapter 7, Nightmares)
“I’m not afraid of pain” || “You won’t hurt me.” (Chapter 7, Dock Talk)
“We need to comfort Julian.“ || “We need to make a plan” (Chapter 8, Salty Bitters)
“I’m not giving up!” and “You can have this.” || “I’ll come rescue you!“ and “So let’s run away.” (Chapter 8, Halcyon Nights)
“He said he wanted a future with me.” || “He would never do that.” (Chapter 10, Digging deeper)
“Why would he do this?” || “He would never do this.” (Chapter 11, Pursuit of Knowledge)
“You can’t save everyone.” || “You’ll save me in the future.” (Chapter 13, A Sea of Change)
Follow Scout, and pull Julian back || Don’t trust Scout, and look down (Chapter 16, Head over Heels) – I’m pretty sure these are important, ‘cause your reaction to Scout is important in all routes
“We can do this together.” || Say he doesn’t need to learn magic (same chapter)
Insist on following Scout || “Maybe there’s another way down…“ and “Let’s not and say we did.” (Chapter 17, Straight on ‘Till Morning)
So, for the quickest way to get the ending you want, I’d try the bold choices first, and if that’s not enough, do the other ones as well. I’m sure there are other important choices as well (like the deal with the devil), but these are the ones I tried to quickly change the ending.
