The Illusion of Separation (Law of Attraction)
Last night, my sister mentioned to me how she spoke about a specific car with her friend and then soon after, she couldn’t stop seeing it on the road. We both wondered what that meant, and then it came to me that it was our reminder that nothing is separate. Separation is the biggest illusion because we are actually connected to everyone and everything. When she spoke up that car, she allowed herself to notice it. She didn’t manifest it. It didn’t materialize out of thin air. It was already there waiting for her to pay attention to it and receive it if she wanted to, just like everything else in this world.
We took the conversation a little deeper and began talking about our desires and how we get in the way, or block ourselves from receiving them. We sometimes feel as if we don’t deserve them. We sometimes feel as though we have to wait for the perfect moment or that we have to be “ready” when in actuality, there is no perfect moment and we’ll probably never be completely “ready”. All we can do is open ourselves up to receiving the things we want, need, and desire in ways or forms that are positive and beneficial to our well being without limiting the ways that we can receive them. Then, we have to receive it.
Even if we haven’t physically received it yet, we need to be physically preparing ourselves to receive our desires.
If you want to move, start packing.
If you want a new car, start to purchase things for it.
Start to visualize yourself having the things you want.
PRACTICE VISUALIZING THEM OFTEN!
Pray for them. Write thank you letters for them.
The other day, I went to interview for a job. The opportunity kind of fell into my lap, but I was feeling slightly insecure about my ability to perform in the position. I realized my insecurity was an illusion I created to protect my ego so I looked past it and began to prepare for the job.
I accepted (mentally) the position and I even brought my drivers license and social security card with me to the interview to prepare to accept the offer. During the interview, I could sense that the people interviewing me were unsure about hiring me, but I had already accepted the job metaphysically, so I didn’t take it personally and I accepted that it was part of their decision making process. I asked them when I would hear back from them about the job and they said that if I got it, they would call the next day or next week at the latest.
They called me two hours later to offer me the position.
Separation is truly an illusion. We are not separate from our desires, we just have feel worthy of them, claim them, and let them come to us.
