and no, erik doesnt actually have feelings or affection for him, he considers those emotions dead pretty much. no hes just glad that somebody is showing him an ounce of affection after decades of nothing. sebastians dead, charles hates him, ravens MIA, who else is left to cradle him? hes happy that someone is telling him that his rage is deserved, and that hes just so powerful, and that he'll stand as a god next to him. it goes straight to his ego and heart. so its even uglier when erik realizes that hes letting everything happen to him all over again and hes being stupid by letting his mind and body be molded so easily, and maybe that stupidity is why charles wont love him back

i mean he probably thought charles still hated him then so what else is he supposed to do other than fall into the arms of the only one who will show him worth
