It wasn't so much a question of IF I would paint Wonder Woman... but rather a question of when.

I was lucky enough to be one of the artists contributing to this book. Please take a look and consider backing the project! It's such a great collection of artwork and words of wisdom!

It's such a great feeling when you stumble across something new that just speaks to you. Like so many other people, I was introduced to Tank and the Bangas through their recent (amazing) Tiny Desk Concert...And I was instantly hooked. I can't believe they were able to fit so much talent and charisma in that small space. The album Think Tank has been on repeat for the last few days. This group, and Tank in particular, makes music that immediately inspires me to create...And that's pretty damn special.

One of my favorite musical discoveries last year was Laura Mvula. I've listened to the song "She" more times than I can count.

I'm going to miss him.

Slowly but surely getting back into the sketching swing. Here's a lunchtime Leia, a belated tribute to Carrie Fisher.

I captured this still in the middle of watching The OA, and I've wanted to paint it ever since. I still can't seem to make up my mind about the show. If nothing else, t's fascinating and confusing and visually interesting.

I just have to say...Moana > Frozen. I can't stop listening to the soundtrack and doodling!

We've lost way too many amazing artists this year. Sharon Jones was such a force, I felt compelled to pay tribute. Here's a progress shot...I can't wait to add color!

Inspiration has been very hard to come by the last few days. I wasn't satisfied with my first painting of the evening, so I completely switched gears and drew a caricature of Raymond Burr as Perry Mason instead. Because why not?
