#funny song for me to come back to right now considering my thesis will probably be called (some variation of) 'Bloodfloods'#I actually don't like This Is All Yours as an album all that much but I like most of the songs on it. which is weird #I think it's just hard to appreciate alt-J albums after AAW bc it's such a stellar cohesive debut that nothing can compare #similarly I like parts of this song better than the original Bloodflood but the first one just feels more cohesive as a whole to me #alt-j #bloodflood pt 2 #this is all yours #music #music monday #Youtube

listening to alt-j's new album (or jjerome87's new album rather) thinking how they write the best love songs with the most wild imagery that makes the most perfect sense (Every Other Freckle springs to mind with "turn you inside out and lick you like a crisp packet" and "let me be the wallpaper that papers up your room" being my faves) and loving the new Brush Me Like A Horse - like falling into the arms of your lover, exhausted, and having them care for you like they would a horse at the end of the day and how good that would feel, how soothing to have all of your tensions and stress brushed away, "I'll be Montana, you'll be Idaho," like come on, how romantic

and then i find out that instead its actually about a man slowly turning into a horse

i’m gonna keep alt-j posting actually. this one is so funny because they were like “i’ve made up a word for when you have a crush on someone who’s dead. yeah it’s deadcrush. that’s also the title of the song. oh and we’re gonna refer to it as a “DC” throughout as well” like. stop trying to make fetch happen you’re sooo annoying (full of affection)
