But the thing is, Avery knows that whoever added him doesn't know that he was the wrong person to add, and he also knows that none of the people in the group chat know about it either.

Because Avery is in a different class/department from them--he doesn't know any of them either. The person that they are supposed to add either has the same first name as him, or the same surname, Avery thought.

But does Avery tell them about it? No. He finds the group leader (Derek) cute and all, and what does he do?

He pretends to be their groupmate, learns as much as he can about their lessons and the research, thesis, or other work they're doing, and sends his own parts that Derek assigned him. All while somehow juggling his own academic struggles and somehow passes all of them, even when he is slightly sleep-deprived because Derek's group's teacher is somewhat an asshole

Now, that begs the question: Did Derek know about it? Did his group know? No. They do not. Even when they interacted with the group member that they were supposed to add in real life? Hm, that depends tbh, it'd be funny if the said group member didn't know that there was a group chat lmao, or--that group member dropped out or transferred and none of them know about it for some reason

Idk if anyone knows that game but it's soo amazing. I cried a lot from the symbolism and other implications in the game—especially tristesse and glade (made by the same creator of Vestigial Library, the games are connected).

Now I'm thinking about Avery going through a library and exploring different memories and the insights of Derek/D3rlord3's mind, while Tristy and Rynn are desperately trying to save the other from the KIY but then Tristy pushes Rynn off the platform to save him.......

So imagine this: Derek surviving the whole thing. Somehow, the KIY is just... not there. In his mind. Just- poof. Gone. Depends on you guys if you want to imagine that Infinite Knowledge is still there or not but!!

Avery tells Derek maybe like, a year later after the whole fiasco (they meet each other irl after the events of DAWTDE, hang out, and it depends if you guys want them to become boyfriends at this moment because either way, it's hilarious), that he wanted to find some extra income for fun or smth! He does YouTube, but idk, I guess let's say he wanted to take a break. Derek said, "That's alright, Aves. From the look on your face, I'm guessing you found something?"

"Yeah, there's this babysitting job I applied for a week ago and I got a response! They said I'll start in two days. The parents will be out for three whole days and I was wondering if you want to come with?"

"...Would that be okay?"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah—I talked about it with the mom and she said it's alright so long as we clean up :)"

"Alright." Derek feels like smth is... off. But he doesn't say anything and he just goes along with it

2 days later they go to the apartment... and lo and behold, the fucking King in Yellow is there waiting for them. But as a baby. Hastur is a baby. Sitting on his baby chair.

Yeah, Derek and Avery did not take that too well lol—did they continue babysitting the kid? Eh, well, for plot purposes, yes. Now what follows is probably the same thing as what happens in the game of Baby in Yellow, but I have an additional take on it: Don't you think it'd be funny if... baby Hastur plays favorites??

Clearly he'd favor Avery more because Avery is his vessel—acting all cute and shit and Derek's over there fuming like, "Don't fall for that Avery, that's a demon." And Hastur starts crying, and Avery, in a moment of panic, starts soothing baby Hastur, carrying him on his chest and patting his back while shushing and singing a small lullaby... unaware that Hastur was sticking a tongue out at Derek as if to say, "I win, bitch"💀

In a nutshell, I imagine that when Avery is busy with other tasks, he'd ask Derek to look after him for a bit so Avery could get his bottle of milk, or make milk, and Derek and Hastur just starts fighting in the background and when Avery checks on them they're suddenly so well-behaved lmfao

Idk something like that I just want to get it out of my system it's hilarious😔🔫

Also, since Hastur is a baby here, I imagine that he's weaker than before because of Derek tricking him in the events of DAWTDE. So yeah this whole thing is just for comedic purposes lol-
