Quick Fact about the Daishiki

The dashiki was worn as a way to protest society’ s disrespect for African Americans. It was a symbol of affirmation, it stood for “black is beautiful,” and signaled a return to African roots, and insistence on full rights in American society.

   My dude Huey Newton. This is a real dude right here. I concur with his influence to transpose the unethical behaviors and actions of the "justice system." As co-founder of the Black Panther Party, he was able to encourgae others of standing up for what they believe in. 

 In reflection, I encourage my music supporters to also stand up for what you believe and don't be good, be great. Be monumental. If you're in school, stay in school and be the best "certified" professional ever. The news always talks about how it's rough in this world with just a high school education or no education at all.

  All in all, No one can ever take your knowledge away or your beliefs. That's why I chose to write Track 3 in respects to #HUEY. "Balls up fist and lifts it to the sky."
