“Come?” Adam asked, the nasally rasp to his voice slightly more pronounced than normal. Lute’s palms began to sweat. The word sounded way too sexy when he said it. Like he should be murmuring it against the shell of her ear as he pinned her down on the carpet.
“Yeah. That.”
“Easy. They usually tell me.” Adam adopted an exaggerated falsetto as he spread his legs and thrust his hips repeatedly into the air, the chair squeaking every time he sank back down onto the seat. “Oh Adam, I’m about to come, don’t stop fucking me with your big, beautiful, perfect dick!”
“Uh-huh.” Lute focused on a scuff mark on the wall somewhere over his left shoulder, trying not to imagine herself straddling his lap. “Anything else?”
Adam settled back in his seat and tilted his head, nonplussed. “What else is there, babe? She gives me the heads up, I go hard but hold back long enough to let her have her moment—‘cause I’m a fucking gentleman—and then pump her full of that sweet, grade-A, original spunk. There can’t be more to it than that, surely.”
His vulgarity really should have turned Lute off. Instead, she clenched her thighs together to try and stop the tingling that had started between them. Goddammit, why couldn’t she be fucking normal? “You don’t have to rely on words, Adam. There are a lot of non verbal cues you can pay attention to that will indicate how close someone is. Things like their hold on you tightening, or their breathing becoming more laboured and erratic. Those are signs that you should keep going with exactly what you’re doing, because it’s working.”
Adam wiggled his eyebrows, the corner of his mouth curled into a teasing grin. “You wanna give me a demo, babe?”
Lute’s heart stuttered, and she felt her cheeks grow warm. She glanced down at her hands, her hair forming a protective curtain around her face. “Y-yeah. That’s kinda what tonight’s lesson covers, actually.”

Not gonna lie, if I wasn't such a diehard Guitarspear shipper I'd totally be a Fallenwings shipper. The appeal is so freaking good with these two. Potential friends to lovers to enemies arc? Big angsty feels? Sign me UP!
But I genuinely can't bring myself to actively ship Adam or Lute with anybody else lol (I think my brain just cannot handle any other hyperfixations and I don't do things like a normal person, it's all or nothing with me). I do love Lute and Vaggi as best friends/past best friends though.
(personally I like the idea (although it's nowhere near as good as Lute/Adam, obviously), and while I don't see it happening it's still fun seeing fanart etc)

Haha well I do love this ship, so...
Honestly, the first time I saw the musical I was like, "oh I totally fw this". I just think there's something really compelling about Beej and Lydia finding comfort in one another after feeling so lost and alone. Also the push/pull dynamic between them is absolute chef's kiss.
Look, I get the appeal of the whole, 'enemies-to-dislike' thing. It's fun! But I simply Do Not Care for Alastor as a character, so by default this ship doesn't compel me, like at all.
