The Ashora Declaration, Bahrain
Arabic Version
With this call, Imam Hussain announced the first Principle to remove all suspicion that has been or will be made in future to confuse people with regards to the parties of this battle. He clearly defined two Parties; The Party of Right and Good, which is represented by the Family of Prophet, against the Party of Falsehood and Evil represented by Yazid who was practicing immorality and debauchery in a complete breach of God's orders. This classification of both ends makes it clear that people have to either choose the Good or the Falsehood, but never be in the middle. Principle II: The Right never follows the Falsehood or accepts it: "A person like me never pays allegiance to a person like him"
After He clearly defined both parties and differentiated them, Imam Hussain openly and clearly announced that He, who represents the upright path, can never accepts or pays allegiance to Yazid and his ilk who chosen to represent the Falsehood and Evil. Principle III: Death is a Fact and never a Threat: "Death is a fact surrounding human like the necklace surrounding the neck of girls, and I knew that I will be killed in this battle"
To close the door in front everyone who may want to fool people or create confusion between the concepts of Right and Falsehood by interpreting the Martyrdom for the sake of Allah as throwing one's self in doom, Imam Hussain stated that He is certain that He will be murdered, He even stated how He will be murdered, yet, He will never withdraw himself from this battle, but will continue without retraction or compromise. The Principle here is that if people are to die anyway, why not to die fighting for Good and Right! Principle IV: Humiliation can never be accepted: "The adop'tee [Yazid] who is a son of adop'tee gave us two choices; to live in humiliation or be murdered. We never accept to live in humiliation"
A principle that makes dignity given by Allah Almighty as the only choice, whether it lies in life or death. Where options are made by falsehood between having human to live in humiliation or to face murder and lethality, then the only choice to be made by the person is to choose death with dignity rather than life in humiliation. Principle V: The Right not the Individuals: "Who accepts me for representing the Right then the Right is of Allah"
Despite the position of Imam Hussain, who was assigned by Allah Almighty to be a successor of Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Them), He reminds people that following and accepting Him must not be for Him being an individual but for being the representative of the Right declared by the Allah. This is to educate people to not to obey people but the Right they represent. This means that if someone states his own views and opinions against the Right then the he must not be followed. Instead, the Right to be followed no matter who is stating it. Principle VI: Argument Enforcement "See who am I then think: do you have the right to murder me and practice violence against my Family?"
As Falsehood always uses deceit and treachery approaches to create confusion between the Right and Falsehood, Imam Hussain emphasizes the necessity to clarify the situation and draw a clear line between the Right and Falsehood, and to derive the evidences that support the argument of the Right against Evil. Once this is perfectly done, then people are not excused for supporting evil, whether directly by joining it or indirectly by being neutral, as such a neutralism weakens the Right and strengthens the Falsehood. Principle VII: Legitimacy of Self-defense: "I don't like to start the fight"
Although Imam Hussain is in the position to initiate any fight or battle, as He is the leader Imam, He told His followers and Family not to start any fight hoping to save blood. This is because the Allah has declared that the blood of any human being is forbidden unless he illegally kills innocent people or commits a legitimacy offense consequent in sentencing to death. This Principle, therefore, paves the way to the following Principle of the Necessity of Self-defense. Principle VIII: Self-defense is facing an attack, even if it resulted in death: "O' People, stand up for your right [to defend yourself and the Family of Prophet], as we are now attacked."
It is the divine rule in disrupting the sanctity of human blood in case of attack. People are directed by the Allah Almighty to defend themselves against any attack using any possible means; even if this defense might result in the death of the attacker or the defender. This call from Imam Hussain didn't differentiate between people who actually participate in the fight and those who only were part of the enemy's army in that battle; all armies should be treated as enemies and therefore be targeted. Those who do not defend themselves are accepting to be humiliated under the fake picture of peace. Principle IX: Continuity to Documenting Crimes and Violations: "Assuming adults are guilty, what guilt did children commit?"
Imam Hussain confirms two important actions during the fight: the first is to continuously document all violations and crimes of the enemy and get them exposed to the world to support the Right, as the enemy will always try to twist the facts and tries to justify its violations, while the second is to show the world the ugliness and horror of the falsehood in its fight to overcome the Right. This clear picture of killing innocent children and teenagers by the army of Yazid in the battle of Karbla draws a clear picture on which any battle can be measured. An enemy that kills children and innocent people can never be a representative of the Right, but only Falsehood. Principle X: Victory is drawn by Sacrifices: "O' God, if this satisfies you then take more and more"
The amount of sacrifices and pain is never an excuse to retreat from defending the Right. Any retraction or withdrawal shall contradict the Right declared by Allah, as well as contradicting the previously stated Principles of not following the falsehood (Principle II), refusing humiliation (Principle IV), devaluating all previous sacrifices, and leaving the Right and joining the Falsehood by not fighting it. Thus, one must continue his fight against falsehood no matter what sacrifices he gives, as victory is only met by sacrifices for the sake of Allah and His Right. SECOND: THE BAHRAINI REVOLUTION ON THE PATH OF IMAM HUSSAIN'S REVOLUTION: The fact is Imam Hussain, being the successor of the last Messenger of Allah; Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), is the inheritor of all Prophets and Messengers. Thus, the Battle of Karbla is the battle of all Prophets where Good fights Evil. As this battle continues to repeat over the time between the followers of the Right and the supporters of Falsehood, every human is being responsible to take part in it. We either be on the side of the Hussaini Right or Yazidi Falsehood. Bahrain, our beloved homeland, has become a court for this battle; Hussainis are rejecting and fighting Yazidi Falsehood. This means that victory only lies in adherence to the Hussaini Way that leads to nothing other than dignity, whether the end was forcing the change or dying for the Right. This way is characterized by a set of unique characteristics that distinguish it from all other ways and methodologies, which includes:
The Hussaini Methodology is a real practical application of the Quranic methodology and an extension to the methodology of Prophet Mohammed.
The Hussaini Methodology is the only methodology capable of accepting all ideologies, thoughts and beliefs.
Despite the bloodshed in Karbla, the Hussaini Methodology was one that calls for adherence to the Right and Good in a peaceful way.
The Hussaini Methodology does not exclude women, but draws them a role that fits their nature. This role is a complementary to the man's role.
In the Hussaini Methodology, both leaders and followers are equal in rights and responsibilities.
The aim in the Hussaini Methodology is the satisfaction of Allah not people.
The Hussaini Methodology completely and clearly rejects cooperation with the followers and supporters of falsehood despite what political or other gains are granted or guaranteed, and despite the amount of sacrifices to be given to block falsehood.
The Hussaini Methodology clearly defines and differentiates between the Right and the Falsehood. It never considers the people on either side, but the only considers the side of the Right.
The Hussaini Methodology does not give any consideration to the physical power and influence whenever the fight is between Good and Evil.
The Hussaini Methodology does not accept the concept of having the ruling party necessarily be the party of Right.
The Hussaini Methodology proves that an army with full power, weapons, and huge number of soldiers, was unable to get a single (YES), fully or partially, from an individual who said (NO) to falsehood and evil. Indeed, His sacrifices started with his own blood and expanded to include the blood and freedom of his family and followers.
The Hussaini Methodology emphasizes the concept of defense and resistance, and completely rejects the submissive peace.
The Hussaini Methodology neither counts on the assistance or influence of others nor it accepts mediation to make agreements between the Right and Falsehood. Instead, it only believes in self initiatives to force Falsehood to accept the Right.
The Hussaini Methodology is built around the adherence to the orders of Allah, especially with regards to the respect to human blood, where originally bloodshed is forbidden, but whenever an attack is made against innocents then defense is becoming a must even if it results in death or Martyrdom.
The Hussaini Methodology proves that Blood overcomes the Sword and victory is not necessarily winning the battle but remaining on the side of the Right until death.
Since we, the people of the National Revolution of Bahrain (14 Feb Revolution), which is a realistic extension to the revolution of Imam Hussain (PBUH) against Falsehood, have voluntarily chosen to adopt the Hussaini Methodology for our Revolution which we believe is the only appropriate methodology leading to real victory, we hereby declare the following:
We completely adhere to the 'Hussaini Peace' that emphasizes the right to self-defense and resistance rather than the Submissive Peace that leads to humiliation of people.
Defending the holy sites and beliefs, and self-defense, by all possible means of defense, is the right declared by Allah. Thus, wrong interpretations or naming of this defense as being violence is completely disregarded despite who sets behind such interpretations; an individual, a party or even a scholar.
Continuously documenting the crimes and violation against people is one of our important tools to prove our rights to self-determination and demands which their ceiling is only determined by the people of Bahrain, not nay individual or party. Despite the importance of this fundamental tool, it is never an alternative to resistance and defense.
The fundamental principle of the 14 Feb Revolution is to reject giving allegiance to an unjust regime. Since the regime of Bahrain has a proven history over the past decades of inability to deliver its promises, commitments, and declarations granted to the people or to respect the basic rights of people, and since it repeatedly committed several illegal attacks against the holy worship places and innocent people, we reject any solution revolving around being ruled by this regime or getting partial rights in a compromise agreement.
We will always welcome every Bahraini who would like to be part of this revolution against falsehood in accordance to the principles detailed herein in this declaration.
Setting in the middle between the Right and the Falsehood is a way of supporting Falsehood against the Right, and therefore, such a position is completely rejected despite what party or individual commit it, and despite what it is named.
The few supporters of the Right compared to the large number of supporters to the Falsehood is never an excuse to retreat or give up the Right no matter what sacrifices are to be given to win the battle against Falsehood.
The international community is responsible for its decisions to support the injustice of the regime of Bahrain against the innocent, unarmed people, and therefore, it alone bears the results and consequences of its decision.
The Revolution of Imam Hussain (The Hussaini Revolution) will always remain the guide for the revolution of Bahrain. Also, the Resistance and Self-defense will always remain sign of the revolution. Therefore, any call to keep away the Ashora days and Karbla Battle away from the political situation in Bahrain is completely rejected and not welcomed.
