More Henry VII. For what it's worth, I do think Henry and Elizabeth of York grew to love each other, even if their marriage was one of convenience.
I ONLY WANTED TO LEARN MORE ABOUT HISTORICAL FIGURES
I NEVER PLANNED ON FALLING IN LOVE WITH THEM
Lol you aren't alone. Historical guys have totally raised my expectations of what a man should be XD
Pro-Gay religious counter-protesters at Atlanta Pride.
IT IS AGAINST MY RELIGION TO HATE.
PUT THAT ON A SHIRT.
Christianity: doing it correctly
Real Christians are legitimately good people.Â
Thank God.
See? Don’t blame the Christians, blame the homophobes.
Christians can be really awesome.
This restores my faith in humanity (at least a bit anyway)
Ginevra FTW (This is not a creation of mine btw)

The oddly large amount of famous people who died on July 28 in various years deserves a blog post. From left to right: Antonio Vivaldi, composer Cyrano de Bergerac, poet Thomas Cromwell, statesman Johann Sebastian Bach, composer Maximilien Robespierre, revolutionary (guillotined same year as Saint-Just) Joseph Bonaparte, brother of Napoleon and King of Spain Louis Antoine de Saint-Just, revolutionary (guillotined same year as Robespierre) {This is off topic but Saint-just is pretty cute. Just sayin'.}
Sassy King George III
This is to perfect.
Old edition of FOREVER AMBER I got at a local antique store today. Originally published 1944, so scandalous it was banned in Boston. This edition is a 25th printing from 1946 at least (see inscription).
Dear Authors of Historical Novels and Writers of Historical Movies/TV Shows, A week ago, Ginevra Benci happened upon a historical novel which portrayed her creator, Leonardo da Vinci, as a callous asshole who didn't give a shit about his apprentices. This is not so! Francesco Melzi, one of Leo's students, wrote after Leo's death that Leo cared deeply for those under his care. The novel (which shall go unnamed) which stated otherwise was so offensive that it made Ginevra cry! "It's ok," I told her, "It's just fiction." "But stupid people are going to believe every word!" Ginny cried. I thought to myself that no one could be dumber than the idiot who wrote that novel, but deep down I knew Ginevra was right. It was then that I realized what had to be done. On behalf of every historical figure ever maligned or otherwise misrepresented in historical novels or films, I am putting this on Tumblr with the hope that some good souls would see this, reblog it and add their own experiences of gross inaccuracy in historical fiction. Just think, your best historical friend could be next. Don't let them see what Ginevra saw. Sincerely, 1490skid P.S. If you reblog this, tag it as Think of Ginevra.
If you don’t think history is the best story ever, you’ve never tried to tell it.
I want you all to reblog this with the name/s of someone in history who you DESPISE, and say something good about them, and someone you LOVE, and say something bad about them.
House Rules:
1. Death/lack of...
Someone I Love: Leonardo da Vinci Something Bad About Him: let me think...well, he didn't finish a lot of what he started.
Someone I Despise: Christopher Columbus Something Good About Him: I guess he was a decent guy before the prospect of wealth and power got to him.

According to Jeopardy, President John Tyler had a son when he was 63 years old. Tyler's son had a son when he was 75 years old. Wierd... (President Tyler's grandson is still alive by the way :O)

July 8th, 2013 - Nurikabe
Day 6! You know, I think I prefer talking about the less popular yokai more so than I do about the more well-known ones…such as the tanuki or the kasa-obake. There are so many of them, that I feel like they sort of get lost in the other’s popularity! Minor yokai deserve the chance to be talked about too! There’s often a lot more information on them than you might think. And today’s figure, Nurikabe, is no exception! It’s also one that I’ve been wanting to talk about for a while now. So let’s begin!
