I took Larry for a walk outside the catacombs c:
The book Batman: Resurrection has me feeling so bad for Clayface. It's a tried and true story of 'this villiany could have been completely avoided if people hadn't overreacted and just tried to treat this person as a human' but GODDDD poor Karlo man. I've never been particularly interested in Clayface but he's so interesting and I genuinely just wanna give him a hug or something cus at the point in the book where I'm at atm (chapter 13) he's still got his ties to the past, he's still got his feelings of remorse and he's still so human despite his changed appesrance.
Also some parts of the book, especially when Karlo initially wakes up as Clayface, describe his confusion and horror so well to me! Like the way the book describes the way his skin moves as Clayface is just awesome. I am definitely a body horror girl so to read something with aspects of body horror in a book where I was completely not expecting it was just so cool to see!
I may or may not post about Batman: Resurrection again but basically, if you like Clayface or/and the Tim Burton Batman films I would definitely recommend it!

Remember when joining fandom as a younger person meant lurking for a bit and figuring out the vibe and etiquette instead of coming in on day one and calling people weirdos for liking weirdo shit in the weirdo factory.

“Time wasn't right. It was moving too fast. And then I was 19. And then I was 20. I felt like one of those dolls asleep in the supermarket. Stuffed. And then I was 21. Like chapters skipped over on a DVD. I told myself, ‘This isn't normal. This isn't normal. This isn't how life is supposed to feel.’”
