LET'S GOOO! Things have been crazy. Lots of school and medical stuff going on for the boys (per the usual). My five-year-old will be starting Kindergarten in the fall. We'll see how that goes -- his team has been pushing us for months to get him into school. Plus, I'd really like him to experience the option of social interaction with other children his age. So far, waving and saying "hello", through the gate, to the neighbors has been the extent of it -- aside from seeing other kids at the doctor's offices. The teenager is growing up nicely. He's discovering who he is, more and more each day. Love it when I see sharp sparks of confidence chime through to his exterior. He's my hero.

Kids aside, Angie's entire existence has been shaken. Her mom's battle with cancer was short-lived. She thought she had more time, but she's been gone over a month, already. I'll never forget that she took us in when we needed it -- and I truly believe she did it for Angie. Their relationship mended and flourished a great deal, over the last ten years. While still having their differences, I believe they took advantage of the time they had left, as long as they possibly could. I love you, Angie -- love you, Lorri.

On a completely different note, I've taken a break from line art, so that I can focus on mixed media art -- papier-mâché, and some clay pieces on the way. Can't wait to start painting them. I had to perform surgery on one of my giraffes. His tummy didn't fit the rest of his body ratio.

Well, what can I say? I haven't been updating lately. My toddler got sick and stopped eating and drinking, and we had to be admitted to the hospital for nearly two weeks. He now has an NG Tube, and that's how I feed him for now. The miraculous part is that while we were at the hospital, he started eating solids again. In the hospital, it was bananas, and now that we are home, he's eating Goldfish crackers, Club crackers, Froot Loops, Frosted Flakes, Apple Jacks, and wa1termelon. It not enough to take the place of his Pediasure feed, but I have high hopes for the future.

On another sad note, Angie's mother has stage 4 lung cancer. The two of them are very strong women, but recent developments have things a little more difficult to handle. Angie's MS requires a lot of surgery, and the two of them will soon be moving into a more reasonable home. Sounds like their new community of people will be a great help to them. I love you, Angie and Lori 💜

Things are pretty terrible right now. I was going to post about all the fun things I got to experience on my birthday, but that was nearly a month ago, and It’s not exciting anymore because my youngest son is sick and it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done — raise and watch a partially non-verbal child go through something like this. He has no appetite, and all I can do is give him Pedialyte, by way of syringe.

I haven’t logged any meals, and I haven’t worked out for almost the entire month of July. Things suck right now. Hopefully, my next post will be more positive.

I had a fabulous birthday. Helped my mom with the cake. We didn’t end up making what we had planned, because when it came down to the last minute, neither one of us really had time to bake the rounds ourselves. Mom used to work as a cake decorator, years ago. It’s not as easy as it looks. And I was going to use part of the buttercream to make an assortment of pastel frosting colors to decorate with. We didn’t have enough frosting. So I just kind of brushed the colors onto the cake and it ended up working very well. I also had to make my own filling (chocolate fudge by Pillsbury(?), heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and peanut butter). Everyone likes it. I’m happy. Be back soon for another update. Little one is in his stroller. Go go go!

I actually got the pink elephant on the right, and the rainbow narwhal from Angie. She also gifted the pastel Minnie Mouse to my youngest son. I’m pretty sure all the others were surprises from Brandon.

I have no idea what to do with myself. My teenager’s last day of freshman year was today. My toddler’s appointments are now scheduled super far out, and I should be excited about this break… But I am not motivated. It’s like I have art block, but it’s just block — everything block. Maybe I just need a nap.

I brought out the dinosaur toys after taking a break from them for about 3 months. Needless to say, my youngest is busy in play at the front window, once again.

I decided to cook an artichoke for my older son, because he’s curious and wants to try one. I told him the heart was the best part, but there’s also a little bit of meat on the leaves. Exciting, right? Lol.

Busy days are upon us. Filled up my planner for the next few months. I’m sure more appointments will be added soon. Water toys are out and sparkling in the sunshine. The ACs are installed, and the dishwasher is fixed. Thank you, Brandon. Our printer is now working (thanks to Tim), and all we need to do now is purchase a new ink cartridge. I’ve got three men in my life to focus on for Father’s Day. Any gift ideas? Let me know.

My brother drove over from the coast and got all my art pieces uploaded to copyright. We celebrated. It was great.

Time to start the template process. It’s completely surreal, even still.

It feels good. I know it’s a little vague, but there will be plenty more to update soon ;)
