it’s cut into a mountain, all the paths and stairs leading around it made from mismatched blocks, poorly lit, entirely underground, with a narrow memory of the prime path, a core part of the greater smp, marked by an old and cheerful sign written by someone who still had hope. the long winding pathways leading into it, connected to various hideaways and escape routes, and it feels so empty and quiet now, compared to how it was the day before l’manberg blew up for the first time, when it was crowded with revolutionaries and heat.

even it’s stupid name is reminiscent of the times; it’s so much dumber than the names people are coming up with for their towns and cities now. it’s a reflection of tommy and wilbur’s need to make something of their own, to make a place that would never feel like a home at least sound like somewhere they could be happy, because they still had hope it was possible.
