I promise you my pain wasn’t poetic.It was days without sleep and pretending I was stable enough to continue.

I know it’s dangerous to think like this, but a big part of me wonders what would have happened if you just said you were sorry; that you never meant to hurt me. How different do you think things might have been?

Don’t you ever let another human being tear you apart. Remember that you have claws and teeth, too. Remember that you are better off whole.

I can’t talk about it because if I talk about it that means it matters. If it matters that means it’s real, and if it’s real that means it’s going to hurt.

I still love the people I’ve loved, even if I cross the street to avoid them.

I look at you, and I just love you, and it terrifies me. It terrifies me what I would do for you.

It’s hard to let go. Even when what you’re holding onto is full of thorns, it’s hard to let go. Maybe especially then.
