At long last, the one and only…Donatello “Donnie” Von Ryan Hamato.

I still want to keep the siblings relationship with him and April but want to develop it even more, he doesn’t feel like he has to mask himself at all with her unlike it happens with Raph and Splinter. In the first moments of the story April, Donnie, Leo and Mikey are a secret friend group, before Raph even finds out about her and gets introduced to her. Donnie and April are also the biggest geeks ever? They have a little movie review channel, she made donnie discover break dance and they practice it every week, while donnie made her discover kpop. He is a sassy perfectionist, anxious, reserved and shy tech obsessed geek, the kind of cool nerd that aces every class but also helps the others cheat, He’s more fascinated with engineering and computers, as well as general culture, literature and music, he struggles with things like maths and science. His biggest dream is to find a way to go to uni and get proper education and perhaps make more friends.

Went with something stylised, a little bit from Andy Suriano’s Rottmnt, a little bit from Ciro nieli’s 2012 version, and a bit of my personal geometric touch of course, this version of their story would still be campy and with a focus on their teenage hood, but also a bit more grounded, serious when it needs too and especially loud and clear when it comes to the themes, including Depression, ableism, weight of expectations and legacy, child abuse and more.

My AU which begins in an alternate version of the episode “Back with a vengeance”, instead of Ben temporarily loosing the Omnitrix in the null void, Max sacrifices himself to protect Ben and Gwen and let them escape from vilgax and Kevin, who end up not getting the Omnitrix.

Entire months pass but Ben and Gwen thought he probably died, Ben kept blaming himself for not being able to save him while Gwen tries to calm down Ben and find a solution.

In reality, Max was kidnapped by vilgax and kevin and his and other aliens’ bodies were experimented on and DNA samples of them were taken for Vilgax’s project, if he can’t have the Omnitrix he’ll make one, So he starts working on a device that has a similar functionality as the Omnitrix together with Kevin.

All that remains of Max now is just a mass of sentient body parts and limbs melted to other aliens bodies, prototypes made to figure out and understand how can one creature turn into another by modifying its DNA with the sample of another creature.When Ben and Gwen find Vilgax ship on earth again they enter it to find him and beat him, but what they end up finding first is the experiments, and.....as you can see it doesn't go well. (Inspired by the concept of forced fusions from Steven Universe)
